CARTER COUNTY, TN - OBITUARIES - William H. DeLoach, 17 Sep 2004
                    --------------¤¤¤¤¤¤--------------

William Howard "Kilroy" or "Bud" DeLoach, 76, Bluefield Avenue, 
Elizabethton, died Friday, September 17, 2004, at his residence.

Mr. DeLoach was a native of Carter County and a son of the late John 
Frank and Ina Fair DeLoach. He was also preceded in death by a son, Henry 
Walter DeLoach, September 29, 1973, and by a brother and a sister.
Mr. DeLoach was a retired employee of North American Rayon Corporation 
after 47 years of service. He was a member of First Free Will Baptist 
Church and the Darold White Sunday School Class. He was an avid sportsman.

Survivors include his wife, Marie Holden DeLoach; two daughters and 
sons-in-law, JoAnn and Roger Odom and Teresa and R.L. Hambrick, all of 
Elizabethton; a son and daughter-in-law, William Howard Jr. and Kathy 
DeLoach, Ridgeville, S.C.; nine grandchildren, Dale Odom, Chris Hambrick, 
Remetha Loving, Keith Hambrick, Bonnie Peters, Rebecca Malone, Kelly 
Chapman, Eddie DeLoach and Heath Honeycutt; 15 great-grandchildren; an 
aunt, Edna Pope, Atlanta, Ga.; several nieces and nephews; and a special 
hunting buddy, Michael Miller.

Funeral services will be conducted at 3 p.m. Monday, September 20, at 
Memorial Funeral Chapel with Rev. Elmer Carter and Rev. Nick Bradshaw 
officiating. Interment will follow at Happy Valley Memorial Park. Active 
pallbearers, who are requested to assemble at the funeral home at 2:50 
p.m. Monday, will be Dale Odom, Chris Hambrick, Keith Hambrick, Michael 
Miller, Eddie DeLoach, Freddie Bradshaw, Van Fair and Johnny Fair. Honorary 
pallbearers will be Dr. Todd Whitaker and the Darold White Sunday School 
Class. The family will receive friends from 1 to 3 p.m. Monday at the 
funeral home. Friends may also call at the residence. Condolences may be 
e-mailed to the family at mfc@chartertn.net. Memorial Funeral Chapel is 
in charge of arrangements.
