Worley E. Bullock 





    Mr. Worley E. Bullock, 85, Kingsport, died Thursday, July 19, 2007, at 

Holston Valley Medical Center. 





    A native of Carter County, he was the son of the late Robert R. and Essie 

Slagle Bullock. Mr. Bullock was a millwright and retired from the Ford Motor 

Corporation, Cincinnati, Ohio. Mr. Bullock was a member of Kingsport First 

Baptist Church. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II. 





    In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Walter 

Bullock and a sister, Florence Shouse. Survivors include his wife, Jean Hughes 

Bullock, of the home; four sons, Robert L. Bullock, Hampton, Ohio, David 

Bullock, Cincinnati, Ohio; Paul Bullock, Trenton, Ohio, and James Bullock, 

Mason, Ohio; a daughter, Kathy S. Plowman, Hamilton, Ohio; 11 grandchildren 

and nine great-grandchildren. Several nieces, nephews and a special friend, 

Kerry Dole, Kingsport, also survive. 





    Funeral service for Mr. Worley E. Bullock will be conducted at 2 p.m. 

Monday, July 23, 2007, in the Sunset Chapel of Hathaway-Percy Funeral Home, 

with Dr. Marvin Cameron officiating. Interment will follow the funeral service 

in New Slagle Cemetery. Active pallbearers will be Chester Shell, Bryan 

Shoemaker, Marty Mullins, Alvin Shoemaker, Herbert Hughes, J.D. Smith, C.L. 

Shoemaker and Bill McConnell. Honorary pallbearers will be Tony Snyder and 

Melvin Ferrell. Military honors will be accorded by the Captain Lynn H. Folsom 

V.F.W. Post No. 2166. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 

1-2 p.m. on Monday prior to the funeral service. Online condolences may be
