  William Ray Stahl, 90, Allegheny Lutheran Home, Johnstown, formerly
  of Somerset, died Aug. 2, 1982, at Allegheny Lutheran Home.  He was
  born Aug. 30, 1891, in Milford Township, a son of the late Daniel G.
  and Grace (Risheberger) Stahl.  He was also preceded in death by a
  son, Richard William.  Survived by wife, the former Lottie L. Smith;
  a son Dr. Robert R. Stahl of Cleveland, Ohio; a grandchild; and a
  sister, Mrs. Elsie Koontz of the Allegheny Lutheran Home.  He was a
  member of the Trinity Lutheran Church, Somerset; I.O.O.F. Lodge No.
  438, Somerset; graduate of California State Teachers' College and
  Tri-State Business College, Cumberland, Md.  Retired farmer and
  former school teacher, he was the first principal of the South Side
  School, Somerset.  Also a former employee of the Consolidation Coal
  Company.  Friends will be received 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Tuesday at the
  Richard E. Hauger Funeral Home where service will be conducted 11
  a.m. Wednesday, the Rev. H. James Meyers officiating.  Interment,
  Husband Cemetery.
