      Robert Richard McCleary, 57 of Salisbury, a kind and caring soul, father, brother and
  friend, left this life on Friday October 10, 2008 at his home. 
      He was born October 11, 1950 in Meyersdale. Preceded in death by his parents, William
  B. and Ethel (Wahl) McCleary; step mother, Nella McCleary; and step brother, Robert W.
  Maust. 
      He is survived by two daughters: Heather Jo and Haley Beth McCleary, both of
  Hooversville; his wife Tammy McCleary, Salisbury; step children: Stephanie (Jamie) Brant
  and their son Jamie, Morgantown, WV; Taylor Reeves and fiance Andy, and Hayden Reeves,
  Salisbury. A brother of: Linda McCleary, Salisbury; Joy (Bill) Short, Salisbury; and Tom
  McCleary, Meyersdale. 
      Also survived by nephews: Heath (Melissa) McKenzie, Nick (Tara) McKenzie, and Jeff
  (Kristin) McCleary and their son Austin; niece Jessica McCleary, and great nieces Kaylyn
  and Madison McKenzie.
      He was an employee of Total Biz of Grantsville, MD, where he worked in the compliance
  department. Bob was an active member of the Sons of the American Legion Post 459
  Salisbury, and was currently serving as second vice president. Also a member of the VFW
  Post 8826 Home Aid Association. He regularly served in the color guard for funerals and
  parades and was instrumental in many fund raisers for individuals in need. 
      He enjoyed hunting, fishing and camping. He loved animals and spending time with his
  family and friends. Bob never met a stranger. 
      Friends were received Sunday at the Price Funeral Home Meyersdale, where service was
  conducted on Monday, with the Rev. Dottie Grew officiating.  Interment Salisbury
  Cemetery. 
      Memorials may be directed to the Humane Society of Somerset County, or the Salisbury
  Cemetery Veterans Monument in care of American Legion Post. 459.
