Hottle, 79, of Somerset, died Oct. 28, 1988, Somerset Community Hospital. Born March 26, 1909, in Quemahoning Township, son of the late William and Lena (Lamberson) Hottle. Also preceded in death by brothers: John, Harry and Carlton; sisters: Ruth Pugh and Ethel Weible. Survived by his wife, the former Margaret Meyers; these children: Dean M., Somerset RD 7; Mrs. Jesse (Norma) Bacon, Towanda, Pa.; and Williard of New Britain, Pa.; also, eight grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. He was a brother of Mrs. Adam (Alma) Ringler, Somerset; and Mrs. Walter (Evaline) Moon of Friedens RD 1. Member of the Geiger Church of the Brethren where he served as deacon and Sunday school teacher for many years. Retired school teacher from the Somerset Area School District, having taught for 44 years. He was a graduate of IUP of Indiana, Pa. Death ends a marriage of 59 years. Friends received at the Hauger-Zeigler Funeral Home from 7-9 p.m. Saturday, noon until 4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. Sunday. Funeral services will be conducted Monday at 10 a.m. with the Rev.
