  Strickler Jr., Robert I. (Red)    
   
   
  Robert I. ( Red) (JR) Strickler Jr., 66, of Millheim, Pa., died June 3, 2008, 
  at the Whitenight residence in Riverside. He was born May 23, 1942, in 
  Newmanstown. The son of the late Robert and Florence Sanders Strickler Sr. He 
  was employed at Davis Construction in Langhorn for a number of years, and also 
  was a truck driver for over 46 years. Preceding him in death was his sisters, 
  Betty Ingram, Florence Steinmatz, Rosemary Alfond and Gloria Strickler. 
  Surviving are his wife of four years, the former Bernadine Whitenight; son 
  Gerald Strickler of Tremont; step-sons Darwin, husband to Tonya Cary of 
  Larksville, Darrell, husband to Allysia Cary of Warminster; grandchildren 
  Gerald (LJ), Tony, Justin, Robert, Gloria; stepgrandson Logan; brothers Eugene, 
  husband to Shirley Waltz of East Hanover, N.J., and Richard, husband to Debra 
  Starkler of Myerstown. Funeral services will be held 11 Tuesday at St. Peter's 
  United Methodist Church in Riverside with the Rev. Dr. Donald Hurley 
  officiating, assisted by the Rev. Doyle Klinger. Burial will be at the 
  convenience of the family. Family will provide flowers. Donations may be made 
  to the Geisinger Hospice, c/o Geisinger Medical Center, Danville, PA 17822, in 
  Bob's memory.
