LEVI (BOB) SMITH

Of 310 Eleventh street, a former resident of Gallitzin and Cresson and 
a retired signal repairman of the Pittsburgh division, died at 2 
o'clock this morning in the Altoona hospital where he was admitted on 
Tuesday. He was born in Lilly Aug. 27, 1879, a son of Jacob and Amanda 
(Stiffler) Smith, and married Miss Clara Kunsman of Gallitzin, who died 
in 1921. Mr. Smith retired from the railroad company service in 1946 
after 40 years' employment. Surviving are the following children:  Mrs. 
William H. Clark, with whom he resided; Mrs. Kellie Clawson of Cresson, 
David W. of Cumberland, Md., and Mrs. William C. Lowe of Detroit, 
Mich.; four grandchildren, two sisters and one brother, Miss Grace E. 
and Theodore T. Smith of the city and Mrs. Laura Webb of Duncansville. 
Mr. Smith was a member of Christ Lutheran church. Friends will be 
received at the Conrad funeral home, Gallitzin, after 7 o'clock this 
evening.
