East Freedom Woman, Injured in Fall, Dies

  Mrs. Salome Edmundson of East Freedom RD 1, who was injured in a fall 
at her home two weeks ago, died at 5 p.m. yesterday in the Memorial 
Hospital, Johnstown. She fell while going to the mail box at the home.
  Mrs. Edmundson's condition became serious this week and she was 
admitted Wednesday to Mercy Hospital, from where she was transferred to 
Johnstown earlier yesterday. An autopsy to determine the exact cause of 
death was performed this morning.
  She was born in Lilly Feb. 14, 1899, a daughter of Levi and Linnie 
(Keckler) Stiffler, and on Dec. 1, 1916, at Cumberland, Md., married 
David R. Edmundson, who preceded her in death.
  Surviving are 13 children, Mrs. Marie Knisely, of Fairless Hills, 
Robert L., Eldon F., Mrs. Geraldine McIntyre and Mrs. Dorothy Salyards 
of Duncansville, Miss Olga and James E. of Hollidaysburg, Nelson R. and 
Mrs. Patricia Reasy of Altoona, Melvin H. and Mrs. Aldine Wertz of East 
Freedom, Richard N., in the Marine Corps at Willow Grove, and Gary, at 
home.
  Also surviving are 24 grandchildren, one great-grandchild, one sister 
and three brothers, Mrs. Olga M. Mang, at the home, Logan and Oakley of 
Hollidaysburg and Julius of Hyattsville, Md.
  She was a member of the Foot of Ten Independent Church.
  Friends will be received at the Barefoot Funeral Home, East Freedom, 
after 7 p.m. tomorrow.
