JAMES T. COLLINS OF HOLLIDAYSBURG CALLED BY DEATH

  James T. Collins, prominent Hollidaysburg citizen, died at his 
residence, 200 1/2 Allegheny; street, at 1.10 o'clock this morning 
after five years' illness.
  He was born in Mount Union, Pa., a son of Robert R. and Jane (Ross) 
Collins, on Oct. 20, 1868. He located in Hollidaysburg early in life 
and engaged in the grocery business for thirty-seven years, retiring 
eight years ago.
  Mr. Collins served as a member of Hollidaysburg borough council for 
thirty-five years and was president of that body for many years. He was 
prominently identified with church activities in the county capital and 
held membership in the First Church of God. He also was a member of the 
board of deacons of that congregation. He was affiliated with the 
Hollidaysburg Portage lodge, F. & A.M., I.O.O.F. lodge, No. 119, canton 
and camp of the I.O.O.F.
  He was married on March 10, 1891, to Rebecca Rampling at 
Hollidaysburg by Rev. H. L. Banzhoff, pastor of the Church of God. The 
wife died nine years ago.
  Surviving are one daughter, Mrs. Lloyd S. Suter of Hollidaysburg; one 
son, Robert H. Collins of Juniata; one sister, Mrs. Dollie Adams of 
Altoona, and seven grandchildren. Friends will be received at the 
Creamer and VanAllman funeral home, Hollidaysburg.

COLLINS - Funeral services for the late James T. Collins of 200 1/2 
Allegheny St., Hollidaysburg will be conducted by Rev. L.A. Hartman. 
Services will be held at the Church of God, Pine street, Thursday 
afternoon at 2.30 o'clock. Interment in Greenlawn cemetery. Friends are 
being received at the Creamer and Van Allman Funeral Home, 
Hollidaysburg.
