		        ROBERT E. STEELE SERVICES HELD

Robert R. Steele was born on July 7, 1913 in Dow, Oklahoma and passed away 
this past Wednesday, January 10, 2001 at Saint Joseph's Hospital in Paris, 
Texas at the age of 87 years.

Robert was born and raised in Oklahoma. He worked in California as a skilled 
welder and maintenance for 40 years before coming back to Clayton, Oklahoma. 
He moved to Antlers after marrying Mrs. Evelyene (Hill) Steele on June 3, 
1981. He enjoyed working with the Ham Radio as an operator and liked to 
fish, canoe, and campout.

Mr. Steele is survived by: his wife Evelyene of the home; daughter, Bobbie 
Souza of Mt. Aunkum, California; step-daughter Betty Jo Wilson of Antlers, 
Okla.; two step-sons: Danny Hill and Steven Hill both of Antlers, Okla.; one 
sister: Emma Palmer of Antioch, California; 15 grandchildren; 12 great 
grandchildren; 4 great-great grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews and 
other relatives.

He was preceded in death by his parents: Ray W. & Edith (Rowe) Steele and 2 
sisters: Jessie Sullivan and Clifford Hill.

Memorial servies were held Saturday, January 13, 2001 at 10:00 a.m. at the 
Mills & Coffey Chapel with Reverend Dale Sullivan officiating.
