Brayton, Robert R.

Robert R. Brayton, age 86 of Oklahoma City, passed away Monday, Dec. 2, 
2002 at Deaconess Hospital. He was born Sept. 10, 1916 in Omak, Washington 
to Ray and Bertha Brayton. He was raised in Georgia and Wisconsin. He 
married Clara Elinor Taylor on Dec. 22, 1946 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. He 
moved to Oklahoma City in 1952 to become the manager of the local American 
Automobile Association office. He served in the Army during World War II. 
He enjoyed cooking, woodworking and had been a member of the May Ave. 
United Methodist Church since 1952. Robert was preceded in death by his 
parents and a grandchild, Jamie Ward. Robert is survived by: Wife: C. 
Elinor Brayton of Oklahoma City 4 Children: Gail and Jerry Shackelford of 
Oklahoma City, Ray and Penny Brayton of Oklahoma City, Jon and Arlene 
Brayton of Slater, WY, Peter and Barb Brayton of Parker, CO, 7 
Grandchildren: Tim Kunze, Tina Vaughn, Lisa Ingle, LeAnne Warren, Kris 
Brayton, Zac Brayton and Brett Brayton many other loving relatives and 
friends. Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Wed., Dec. 4, 2002 at May Ave. 
United Methodist Church. Rev. Al Potts and Rev. Irene Potts will 
officiate. Burial will follow at Rose Hill Burial Park. Memorial donations 
can be made to May Ave. United Methodist Church, 2604 N. May, OKC, OK,
