June W. Chapman, 87, passed away Tuesday, March 1, 2005, at an Arlington hospital.
Funeral: 10 a.m. Friday in Blessing Colonial Chapel, 401 Elm St., Mansfield. Private burial: Emerald Hills Memorial Park, Kennedale.
Memorials: First Baptist Church, 309 N. Kenney St., Kennedale, Texas 76060.
June was born May 25, 1917, in Jester, Okla., the daughter of William Ernest and Bessie Keesee Winters. She was a longtime resident of Kennedale and a member of First Baptist Church in Kennedale. She loved to read. She was an educator, specializing with children with Down syndrome for 35 years. June attended Waylan Baptist College and received her bachelor's degree from TCU and her master's degree from Texas A&M.
June was preceded in death by her husband, Oscar, on March 19, 1994.
Survivors: Sister, Edith Tramel; brothers, Paul Winters, John Winters, Eugene Winters and Ollie Winters; and numerous nieces and nephews.
