Robert R. P. Quinton

Services for Robert R. P. Quinton, 70, Wynnewood, were held at 2:00 
p.m., Saturday, Nov. 19 at the First United Methodist Church in 
Wynnewood with Bro. Finis Steelman and Bro. Kip Heatly officiating. 
Interment was in Oaklawn Cemetery, Wynnewood, with DeArman-Wynnewood 
Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

Born November 27, 1934 in Mill Creek to Robert Pearsen Quinton and 
Nellie Dale Gains Quinton, he died Wednesday, Nov. 16 at his home 
after a long illness.

He spent his early childhood in the Mill Creek area and lived the 
past 30 years in Wynnewood. He was a retired businessman, heavy 
equipment operator and owned a trucking business for many years.

He is survived by his wife, Corene Abbott; one son, Tony Quinton, 
Texas; four daughters and their husbands, Dorothy and James Phillips, 
Owasso, Debi and Don Hibbinbottom, Maysville, Kendra and Don 
VanCleef, and Mary and Mark Sonnier, both of Pine Ville, La.; eight 
grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; two brothers, Artie 
Quinton, Mill Creek and Radie Conner and his wife, Pauline, 
California; one sister, Betty Clark and her husband, Don, Mill Creek; 
one brother-in-law, Harmon Clark, Reagan.

He was preceded in death by 3 brothers; two sisters and his parents.

Pallbearers were Louis Perry, Ronnie Cash, Johnny Mann, Roger 
Musgrove, Gary Kerns, Charlie Johnson, Eddie Williams and Buddy 
Young. Honorary bearers were Ronnie Perry, Buster Reed, Floyd Lesley 
Carter, Ed Seally, Fred Dale, George Chandler, Alfred Lindsey and Roy 
Webb.
