Obit for Ernest Harold 'Bill' White


Ernest Harold 'Bill' White died June 4, 202, at the VA Center in Ardmore.  
He was born July 15, 1924, in Davis to the late Robert and Louella Pearl 
White.  He joined the navy in 1941 and honorably served his country during 
World War II on the USS Charles Ausburne DD570 with the squardron of the 
Little Beaver Destroyers.

He was happily married to Jacqueline Fern in 1945 and had three sons.  
After Jacqueline's death, Bill married Anna Marie Gray.  He retired from Red 
Ball trucking company to live in Elmore City.

After retirement, Bill and Anna Marie raised horses and cattle, enjoyed 
many years of playing music with his sons, traveling and enjoying 
grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Jacqueline; brothers Robert, Amos 
and Perry; sisters Faye and Artie; and stepson Mark.

He is survived by his wife, Anna Marie of many years; sons and families 
Ronnie, Dean, Ronnie, Shannon and Brian; David, wife Diane, Justin and 
Jackie; Terry, wife Julie, Mary Anne, Matthew and Chris; Kevin, wife Tammy, 
Brandon, Coleen, and Chelsea; several great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews 
and other family and friends.

His storytelling, music and love of his grandchildren and family will truly 
be missed.  The family wishes to thank the staff of the VA Center in Ardmore 
for loving caring for Bill.

Graveside service was held Friday, June 7, in the Resthaven Memory Gardens.
