June 28, 2005 Visitation for Paul Daniel Bowman, 50, of Las Vegas, NV,
formerly of Camillus, will be from 3 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at Brown Funeral Home
with a 6 p.m. wake service. A funeral mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m.
Wednesday at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Manteno. Rev. Ed Grotovsky will
officiate. Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery, Manteno. Mr. Bowman died
Tuesday, June 28, 2005 in Las Vegas. He was born June 29, 1954 in Kankakee,
the son of Russell and Nedine Lemenager Bowman. He was a physician's assistant
for PHP and Univera. He served in the US Army from 1975 to 1978, stationed in
Bamburg, Germany. He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church and enjoyed
skiing, science fiction, computers and drawing. He received his RN degree from
Kankakee Community College and attended the physician's assistant training
program in Parma, Ohio. Surviving are his mother of Manteno; three sisters and
brothers-in-law, Marla and Rasmi Abdallah of Bourbonnais, Mary Ellen and Scott
Hyland of Williamsburg, VA, Melanie and Rob Holmes of Merrionnette Park; one
brother, Stephen Bowman of Manteno; and many nieces and nephews. His father is

Carpenter July 3, 2005 Susan E. Kellogg Carpenter of Seattle, Washington, died
July 3, 2005 at home. She was a native of Mexico, New York. She was a graduate
of Mexico Academy and Central School and Syracuse University. She received a
Master's degree from the University of Wisconsin, and a Master's in Business
Administration from City University in Seattle. She also did graduate work in
speech pathology at the University of Washington. She was Manager of Rehab
Medicine at Children's Hospital, Seattle. She is survived by husband, Robert
Carpenter; and stepdaughters, Renee Laigo and Heather Carson, all of Seattle.
She is also survived by a sister, Joan Hadcock, of Mexico, New York; a niece
and nephew and several other relatives. A memorial service will be held in

July 11, 2005 Jean E. Clark, 89, died Monday at her home at Wynwood in
Manlius, NY. Before moving to Manlius three years ago, she was a resident
since birth of Norwood, NY in St. Lawrence County. Active in the United
Methodist Church of Norwood, she served as organist for many years and then as
Sunday School Superintendent. She was predeceased by a son, Richard, in 1983
and her husband of 68 years, Hubert, in 2001. Survivors include son Robert of
Fayetteville, NY; daughter Carolyn Williams of Syracuse; seven grandchildren;
and eight great-grandchildren. A memorial service will be at the United
Methodist Church of Norwood, NY on July 23, at 2:00 p.m., followed by a

July 12, 2005 John W. Eggert, Sr., 87, of Kirkville, formerly of Bridgeport
and Collamer died Tuesday. John retired as assessor of the Town of Sullivan in
1981. He was also a partner in the former Eggert Brothers farm and Lumber
company in Colla-mer. He was a retired member of the Bridgeport Lions Club,
Anchorage Marina Yacht Club, and the Syracuse Turners Association. He also had
been a leader of Boy Scout Troop # 53 at one time. He was predeceased by two
wives, Ruth Schuetz in 1991 and Rosemary Davis in 2004. Survivors: His
children, John, Jr. and Mary Ann Floss both of Kirkville; four brothers; and
five sisters; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. Services: 9:15

Patriots of America. She was predeceased by her husband Ronald N. Graham in
1987 and son James M. Graham in 1992. She is survived by her daughter Lorna

Hospital. Born in Syracuse, she moved to Camillus 10 years ago. Regina was
employed by Crouse-Hinds for 10 years and was previously employed by United
Parcel Service for five years. She was a communicant of the Basilica of the

July 11, 2005 Dorothy Martin, 73, passed away in Sun City Center, FL, on July
11, 2005 after a long illness. Mrs. Martin was born in Massena, NY and grew up
in Ft. Covington, NY where she met, and married, the love of her life, her
husband, Jim. She moved to Florida from Hastings, NY, and was retired from
Redwing Trucking Co. Dorothy was predeceased by her husband, and a sister,
Judy Layo, and is survived by her mother, Dora Henault; daughters, Nancy
Lambert and husband, Charles, Bonnie Myles and husband, James, Tina Ford and
husband, Philip; seven grandchildren, and 13 great-grandchildren. A visitation
will be held on July 15, 2005 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Hillsboro Memorial Funeral
Home, Brandon, and a Funeral Mass on July 16, 2005, 9:30 a.m. at Blessed

McOmber, Brayton E.
July 10, 2005 Brayton E. McOmber, 97, formerly of 5259 Dayan St., Lowville,
NY, passed away peacefully, on Sunday, July 10, 2005, at Van Duyn Home &
Hospital, Syracuse, NY, where he had resided for the last nine months to be
near his family. Brayton was born in Depauville, NY, on June 8, 1908, the son
of Eugene and Hazel McOmber. He graduated from Lowville Academy and RIT in
Rochester where he studied for electrical engineer. On August 16, 1931, he
married, Mildred Countryman Adams with Rev. Lavis, Pastor of Lowville
Methodist Church, officiating at Rev. Lavis Camp on Wellsley Island. He and
his wife owned and operated McOmber Electric in Lowville for over 50 years.
For many years he was a bee keeper, and sold honey products in local stores.
He enjoyed working in his vegetable and flower gardens and attending to the
berry patches and fruit trees on their property. He was a member of the
Lowville Baptist Church, Lowville Full Gospel Businessmen, Lowville Fire
Department, as a volunteer fireman and later as a fire police. He was
predeceased by his loving wife Mildred of 69 years in 2001; brother, Harold
McOmber at the age 4; grandson, Ross McOmber in 1988, step-great-grandson,
Ryan Adams in 2001, and step-great-granddaughter, Kristen Schroy in 2002. He
is survived by three sons, twins, Ralph, of Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada, and
Roger (Priscilla) of Ithaca, NY, son, Harold (Julie) of Ithaca, NY; daughter,
Marie (Howard) Adams of Liverpool; two grandchildren, Mark McOmber of
Gettysburg, PA, and Pamela McOmber of Ithaca, NY; three great-grandchildren
and one great-great-grandson; five step-grandchildren, Lynn Costanzo and
Jonathan Adams of Watertown, NY, Richard Adams of Black River, David and
Donald Adams of Liverpool, NY; 13 step-great-grandchildren and 13 step
great-great-grandchildren. A memorial service will be held at the Lowville
Baptist Church at a later time in July with family and friends. Contributions

4, 2005 in Framingham, MA. Born in Syracuse, she was the daughter of the late
Adam and Stephania (Smilgan) Hancewicz. She had lived in Framingham, MA. for
seven months. She retired from the New York Telephone Company as an operator
after 20 years of service. Her husband, John, passed away in 1991. Survivors:
a daughter, Linda A. Valachovic (Peter) of Framingham, MA; a son, Kenneth Rudy
(Judy) of West Columbia, SC; three grandchildren, Adam and Andrea Valachovic

Saldana, Mary E. (Pillans)
July 10, 2005 Mary E. (Pillans) Saldana, 63, of Copperas Cove, Texas, passed
away Sunday after a short battle with cancer. Mary was born and raised in
Baldwinsville, but moved to Los Angeles, California, in 1973. There she met
Benjamin A. Saldana; they were married on December 2, 1977. Mary was widowed
on December 29, 1998. In 2004, she moved to Copperas Cove, Texas, to be closer
to her surviving daughter, Michelle Roberts and her husband Thomas, and her
grandson Aidan. Also surviving Mary are her son, Michael Julian, of Oswego,
New York, his wife Beth, and their children Michael and Melissa. Mary also
leaves behind two sisters, Daisy MacAnn and Jane Palmer, and three brothers,
George Pillans, Robert Pillans, and Thomas Pillans. In following Mary's
wishes, there will be no memorial services held. The family suggests any
memorials be made to the American Cancer Society or charity of one's choice.

July 13, 2005 Patricia A. Manzari Wilson, 54, of 20 North Albany Street,
Auburn, died July 13, 2005, in the company of her loving family. A life
resident of Auburn, Patricia was a communicant of St. Francis Church. She was
a graduate of Cayuga Community College with an Associates Degree in Early
Childhood Education. She was employed by The Head Start Preschool Program for
15 years and for the last seven years, was employed at The Early Childhood
Center. Her pleasures in life were tropical fish, camping, gardening and most
of all, being surrounded by beautiful children. She is survived by her
husband, James Wilson; two sons, Joseph (Alicia) and Thomas; a brother, John
Manzari; a sister, Joan Manzari; her mother, Josephine Zucchero Manzari;
aunts, Grace Zucchero, Laura Munro, and Louise Shaw, all of Auburn and several
nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her father, Victor Manzari. Friends
are invited to join the family for a Mass of Christian burial to be offered
Saturday at 10:30 a.m. in St. Francis Church. Entombment will be in St. Joseph

Zentner, Rudolph Leo   
July 4, 2005 Rudolph Leo Zentner, 87, of Cayuga, died in Lake Placid, Florida.
Born in Auburn he was the son of Adolph and Johnanna Dusal Zentner. Mr.
Zentner was a Navy veteran of World War II serving in the Pacific. He was past
commander of the Donald R. Ward American Legion Post of Cayuga, and during the
war worked with the Conservation Corp. He was employed for 30 years at ALCO
Power as a machinist. He was a member of the United Methodist Church of
Cayuga. Surviving are a daughter, Sharon Weber of Wisconsin; two sons, Thomas
of Cayuga and Lake Placid and Frank Zentner of Fairfax, NY, also surviving are
six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Rudolph was predeceased by his
wife, Gladys. Visiting hours at the Langham Funeral Home, 75 E. Genesee St. 4
to 7 p.m. Thursday. Committal services Friday in Lakeview Cemetery, Cayuga at
9:45 a.m. followed by a memorial service at 10:30 in the United Methodist
