Minsker, Richard A.           
Age 63, of Baldwinsville, NY died peacefully with his family at his side
Tuesday, October 11, 2005 of complications from bile duct cancer. Born in
Buffalo, NY, he served proudly in the U.S. Navy and enjoyed a long career as a
sales engineer in the industrial controls industry. He was a lifetime member
and former president of the CNY chapter of ISA (Instrument Society of
America). He was a very active member of the Liverpool First United Methodist
Church, where he served as the Lay Leader, head of the building improvement
committee where he led the recent expansion and renovation, and a member of
the woodworking group. He is survived by his loving wife of 42 years, Carol;
son David (Sandy) of Brewster, NY; daughter Beth Leyden (Mark) of Plainsboro,
NJ; five wonderful grandsons, Alex, Ryan and Eric Minsker and Chris and Jeff
(William) of Ann Arbor, MI; brother John Minsker Jr., (Lois) of Granville, OH;
numerous special nieces and nephews; and countless friends. He was predeceased
by his father, John H. Minsker. A memorial service will be held on Sunday,
October 16th at 2:00 PM at the Liverpool First United Methodist Church. Burial
services will be held on Monday, October 17th at 2:00 PM at the family plot in
Oakwood Cemetery, East Aurora, NY. In lieu of flowers, the family is
requesting contributions be made to the Liverpool First Methodist Church, 604

Church at 11 AM. Mr. Stromecki was a graduate of Bishop Ryan High School Class
of 1950, a minor league baseball player for the Detroit Tigers and Pittsburgh
Pirates, served in the US Army during the Korean conflict stationed at Ft.
Leonard Wood, MO and was a retired long time employee of the Bethlehem Steel
Corp. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the Hospice Foundation of WNY.
Interment Hillcrest Cemetery.

Of Winter Park, FL, entered into rest October 11, 2005, beloved wife of
Whitney Taylor; mother of John (Elizabeth) Taylor, Janet (Michael) Boergers
and Joanne (James) Matthews; grandmother of Candace Taylor; sister of James
(Eileen) O'Grady, the late Elizabeth Green and Anne Rivard; also survived by
many nieces and nephews. No prior visitation. Relatives and friends are
invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Saturday at St. Anthony
Church, Bristol Ave., Lockport at 10 AM. Interment in Cold Springs cemetery.
If desired, donations in Mary's name to Catholic Charities would be
