TROY Marie F. Beditz, 83, of Troy, died peacefully and with dignity on Friday,
September 3, 2004 at St. Mary's Hospital in Troy after a brief illness. Born
in Troy on December 28, 1920 to the late Mary (Dwyer) and Joseph Bleibtrey.
Marie was a lifelong resident of the Lansingburgh neighborhood of North Troy.
She was the wife of Stephen J. Beditz and sister of Ruth LaPointe, both of

friends. She is survived by her sons, Stephen of Guilderland, Joseph of

circles and worked part-time for many years at the Alpha Lanes in North Troy

extensively (with the exception of a lifetime dream trip to Ireland), she was
nevertheless known far and wide as the friendliest and most welcoming person
anyone had ever met. She was selfless with her time and, up to the time of her
death, helped her friends attend to their doctor visits, shopping and errands.
Marie leaves a legacy of love, affection and small kindnesses. She will be
missed. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, September
7 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Augustine's Church, Lansingburgh. Calling hours will be
