AURDAL CEMETERY, DICKEY COUNTY, NORTH DAKOTA This cemetery was walked and Recorded, October 9, 1997, by Judy Huber. Any questions or corrections can be sent to her at huberj@nvc.net. The Aurdal Lutheran Church is located about three miles east of Forbes, North Dakota, just north of the North Dakota-South Dakota border. It was organized in 1883 and named for a area in Norway as most of the members came from there. A church building was erected at some point, exact date not found. The congregation merged with Christ the King Lutheran Church in Ellendale in 1963 and the building is used as a funeral chapel. An annual memorial service is held every year and the cemetery remains open for burials.
