Recorded Feb. 1819 Deed of Gift 100 acres

Register of Deeds Wayne County, North Carolina

This Indenture made the 11th day of January in the year of our Lord One 
Thousand Eight Hundred and Nineteen Between Robert Faulkner Sen. Of the 
State of North Carolina and County of Wayne of the one part and Amey 
Woodard wife of James Woodard his daughter of the same State and County 
of Sampson of the other part. Witnessed that the said Robert Faulkner Sen. 
For in the consideration of the good will and affection which I have and do 
bear to my said daughter as also for the better Maintenance and Support of 
my said daughter Amey Woodard I the said Robert Faulkner doth give grant 
Bargain and make over, Convey Unto the said Amey Woodard her heirs and 
assigns forever a certain piece or parcel of land Situate lying and being 
in the aforesaid County of Wayne on the South Side of the Yellow Marsh 
Beginning at a Red Oak Massey’s Corner and runs his line N 75 E 129 poles 
to a Pine in John Faulkner’s line then with his line S.9.W. 150 poles to a 
pine Massey’s Corner thence with his line W 140 poles to a pine down) at the 
head of a branch then with Everitts line N 16 E to the Beginning Containing 
one Hundred Acres more or less it being a patent Granted to Richard McKinnie 
dated 13th of December 1798---To have and to hold the aforesaid Land and 
premises with all and singular the privileges profits Benefits and 
appurtenances There unto the said Amey Woodard her heirs and assigns forever 
and I the said Robert Faulkner dorh for myself my heirs Eros and Admins. 
Covenant and agree to Warrant and forever defend the said Land and premises 
free and clear from or against the lawful claims of any manner of persons 
whatsoever unto the said Amey Woodard her heirs and assigns Forever In 
Witness wherof I the said Robert Faulkner have hereunto set my hand and 
affixed my Seal the day and date above written.
