MR. EDWARD LARUE
     VINSON
  Mr. Edward LaRue
Vinson, of 2633 Rich-
ardson Dr., died Decem-
ber 2, 1977 at Pres-
byterian Hospital.  He
was born October 12,
1909 in Savannah, Ga.,
son of the late C.E.
Vinson and Julia Bliss
Vinson.  He was presi-
dent of Vinson Realty
Co. In church affairs
Mr. Vinson had served
as a member of the Fi-
nance Committe, chair-
man of the Building
Committe, member of
the Board of Stewards
and a Trustee of the
Myers Park United
Methodist Church. Fu-
neral services will be 
11:00 a.m. Monday, De-
cember 5, 1977 at the
Myers Park United 
Methodist Church with
Dr. Thomas B. Stock-
ton, the Rev. Gilreath
Adams and Dr. A. 
Mitchell Faulkner offi-
ciating. Interment will
be in Sharon Memorial
Mausoleum.  He is sur-
vived by his wife, the
former Frances Martin;
one son, Edward L.
Vinson, Jr., Charlotte;
two grandchildren, 
Sherrill Anne and Ed-
ward L. Vinson, III,
Charlotte; one brother,
Lewis Vinson, Jackson-
ville, Fla.; one sister,
Mrs. George H. Ro-
berts, Charlotte. The
Active Pallbearers will
be Robert R. Rhyne,
Dr. Andrew Taylor, Ha-
rold Albright, Dr. G.
Aubrey Hawes, Jerry
