Maiden Cemetery
Maiden
Catawba Co., N.C.
From Newton, take Hwy. 321 south into Maiden.Take a left at first stop light
and another left at the next light. Go three blocks north. Turn right, onto
the one way street, behind the Maiden Elementary School. Take the first road
to the right, this is Cemetery Street. The cemetery is about a quarter of a
mile on your left, beside the Null Woodworks plant.
I started this survey on Jan. 22, 2001. Because of the size and layout of the
cemetery, I did the survey in sections, beginning with the section closest to
the Null plant and working my way back, going from right to left. Where there
were family plots,I have kept the names together.
There are numerous unmarked graves and some with just a surname. The names
have been spelled as they are on the tombstones. The cemetery is maintained
by the city of Maiden.
