This bible belonged to my beloved grandmother who was always trying to get us “youngins” to sit still long enough to hear her tell stories of her childhood growing up in Water Valley, MS. I wish I had been smart enough then to listen when I had the chance. I’m contributing this in memory of her, Bertha Van Simmons Bryant Fussell Parsons b. 1909 d. 1992.
I’ve copied all entries as written and also included some notes written on the backs of some blank bible pages. Also, everything is copied from the bible exactly how it is spelled there. Notes I’ve included are marked by an *.
