June 4, 2013 Gerald R. Roberts II, 24, of Lake Odessa passed away June 2, 2013. He was born July 22, 1988 in Lansing, the son of Gerald R. Roberts and Karen (Koutz) Brandt. Gerald drove truck for Sysco Foods. He love to ride motorcycles, go to the gym and tattoos. He liked taking selfies and would help anyone in need. Gerald is survived by his father, Gerald Robert of Orleans; mother Karen (Bill) Brandt of Lake Odessa; sister, Jill (Chris) Trepins of Grand Rapids, Casey (Bradley) Adamson of Fenville and Amanda Roberts of Sunfield; step brother William (Grace) Brandt Jr. of Lake Odessa; step-sisters, Victoria Brandt, Elizabeth Brandt and Antoinette Brandt, all of Lake Odessa, grandparents Leonard and Ida Koutz of McBride; step grandfather Kenneth Brandt of Lake Odessa; niece Kaelyn; nephews Carter, Evan, Ryan, Jeremiah, Anthony and Matthew; aunts, uncles, cousins and many friends. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Floyd and Donna Roberts; aunts Jane Spear and Pamela Simon; and step grandmother Linda Brandt. Funeral Services for Gerald will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at the Lakewood United Methodist Church with pastor John Williams officiating. Interment Lakeside Cemetery. Visitation will be at the Lake Funeral Home in Ionia, Wednesday 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Anyone wishing may make memorial contributions to his family.
