Ionia Sentinel Standard, 20 Jan 1968

A one time Pewamo resident Robert R. Melvin, 81, died early Friday morning in a
hospital in Allegan.  He had been making his home with his daughter and son-in-law,
Mr. and Mrs. Clifton Gee of Hamilton and formerly of Ionia.  He was born, November
10, 1886, the son of Charles and Mary Melvin in Hanna City, Ill.

Surviving are his wife Eva, two sons, Robert of Detroit, Charles of Oklahoma; two
daughters, Mrs. Chester Little of Livonia and formerly of Mur, Mrs. Clifton Gee of
Hamilton; ten grandchildren and several great grandchildren; a brother Chris of St.
Louis, Mo.

Funeral services will be Monday at 11 a.m. at Dykema funeral home in Hamilton and
graveside services at 3 p.m. at Muir cemetery.
