                    WILL OF BILLINGSLY ROBERTS

     IN THE NAME OF GOD AMEN, I Billingsly Roberts of Montgomery County and 
State
of Maryland being weak in body but of sound and disposing mind and memory and
understanding, do make this my last will and testament in manner and form 
following.  That is
to say:

     First my body I recommend to the earth to be decently buried in a Christian 
like and
decent manner and after my just debts are paid, I give, devise and dispose of 
all the rest of my
estate both real and personal in the manner and for following, to with:

     I give and bequeath unto my son Richard Roberts thirty five pounds current 
money to be
lodged in the hands of John Hawkins and to his care till my son Richard returns 
from Kentucky
and in case he should never return then to his heirs forever.

     I give and bequeath unto my sons Richard and John Roberts all that parcel 
or tract of
land lying on the north fork of Holsons (?) River containing three hundred acres 
and known by
the name of Camels Choice together with all the appurtenances thereunto 
belonging to be
equally divided between them and their heirs forever.

     I give and bequeath unto my loving wife the plantation whereon I now live 
together with
a lease since obtained of Bene Dulany Esquire formerly the property of William 
Davis by a lease
with all and singular the appurtenances thereunto belonging to her and her heirs 
during the time
they are leased for.

     I give and bequeath unto my daughter Margaret Duley one shilling sterling 
and it is my
desire she should have no more of my estate having made provision for her 
already.

     I give and bequeath to my daughter Ann Sanbrage (?) one shilling sterling 
and it is my
desire she should have no more of my estate having made provision for her 
already.

     I give and bequeath unto my loving wife one third tract of my personal 
estate as also all
provisions such as corn, wheat and meat as much as shall be adjudged necessary 
for her families
use till she makes a crop, to her and her heirs forever.

     I give and bequeath the other two thirds of my personal estate to be 
equally divided
amongst my children namely Richard Roberts, Eleanor Roberts, John Roberts, Sarah 
Benton,
Cassandra Roberts, Henry Roberts, Joseph Roberts, Mary Roberts, James Roberts, 
and William
Roberts to them and their heirs forever.

     And lastly I do hereby nominate and appoint my loving wife and my son John 
Roberts
executors of this my last will and testament revoking and disannulling all 
former wills by me
heretofore made, confirming this and no other to be my last will and testament.  
Whereof I have
hereunto set my hand and affixed my seal this ninth day of November One thousand 
seven
hundred and ninety.

     KNOW ALL MEN by these presents that we Henry Roberts, Joseph Roberts and 
Samuel
Magruder and Thomas H L Offutt of Montgomery County are held and firmly bound to 
the State
of Maryland in the sum of Four Thousand Dollars to be paid to the State 
aforesaid or its certain
attorney to which payment well and truly to be made and done we bind our selves 
our heirs
executors and administrators firmly by this presents sealed with our seals and 
dated this
nineteenth day of October one thousand eight hundred and seven.

     THE CONDITION of the above obligation is such that if the above bounden 
Henry
Roberts and Joseph Roberts shall well and truly perform the office of 
administrators of Margaret
Roberts late of Montgomery County, deceased, according to law, and shall in all 
respects
discharge the duty of them required by law as administrators aforesaid without 
any injury or
damage to any person interested in the faithfull performance of the said office 
then the above
obligation shall be void, it is otherwise to be in full force and virtue in 
law....

     On the 12th day of January 1808 came Henry Roberts and Joseph Roberts 
administrators
of Margaret Roberts late of said county, deceased, and made oath on the Holy 
Evangels of
Almighty God that the aforegoing is a true and perfect inventory of all and 
singular the goods
and chattles of the said Margaret Roberts, deceased, that hath come to their 
hands possession or
knowledge at the time of the making thereof and that what hath since come or 
shall hereafter
come they will return an additional inventory that they know of no consealment 
of any part or
parcel of the said deceased's estate by any person or persons whatsoever and 
that if they should
hereafter discover any consealment or suspect any to be they will acquaint the 
judges of the
Orphan's Court at the time being with such consealment or cause of suspicion 
that it may be
enquired into according to law

Margaret.  The first wife and mother of his chidren was Betty Manen. 
They were married 2 Nov 1758 in Baltimore.  That info came from GRS
Files.  It is unknown the surname of Margaret Roberts, but it could
possibly be Campbell, but not proven.  The Sarah Benton mentioned in the
will of Billingsley Roberts is my 4 gr grandmother.  Ellen in Tucson
