Paul Delauter
  Mr. Paul William Delauter, 63, of Mount Airy, died Saturday, Jan. 31, 2004, at 
his home. He was the husband of Jeanne Plank Delauter.
  Born April 7, 1940, in Frederick County, Maryland, he was the son of the late 
Chester and Deliah Blickenstaff Delauter.
  He was a member of the Mount Airy Full Gospel Church where he was a past board 
member and Sunday School teacher. Mr. Delauter always loved to travel. During 
his working career he was a department head at the Food and Drug Administration.
  In addition to his wife he is survived by daughter Connie Jeanne Barnard and 
husband Richard of Mount Airy; his granddaughters Heather Jeanne Thompson and 
husband Russell of Dickerson and Tiffany Nicole Barnard of Mount Airy; two 
sisters, Anna Lea Deater and Jeanette Davis of Fredrick and many nieces and 
nephews. He will also be remembered by his close friend Robert Martin. He was 
preceded in death by a son Paul Delauter.
  The family received friends at the Stauffer Funeral Home, 8 E, Ridgeville 
Blvd. Mount Airy, on Feb. 4 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral services will be held 
today, at 11:00 a.m. from the Mount Airy Full Gospel Church, 13949 Penn Shop 
Road, Mount Airy, with pastor Tom Gue and Pastor Wallace Lusk officiating. 
Visitation at the church one hour prior to service. Interment will be in Locust 
Grove Church of the Brethren cemetery. Pallbearers will be Gray Plank, Carl 
Plank, David Plank, Robert Cline, Bobby Martin, Tim Engler, Gerald Baker and 
John Norwood.

Margaret G. Kyle
  Margaret Gertrude Kyle, 92, of Marriottsville, died Monday, Feb. 2, 2004, at 
Westminster Nursing and Rehab Center. Born July 3, 1911, in Washington, D.C., 
she was the daughter of the late Timothy J. and Mona Lynch O'Neill. She was the 
wife of the late Milton A. Kyle.
  She had been a telephone operator with C & P Telephone and had also been 
employed with Hecht Company. 
  Surviving are son and daughter-in-law Robert A. and Linda Kyle of Huntingtown, 
daughter and son-in-law Kathleen and Dale Price of Marriottsville, sister Mary 
D'Amelio of Hemet, Calif., 9 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.
  She was predeceased by her daughter, Margaret A. Nagle and by her brother 
Robert F. O'Neill,
  Funeral services and interment will be private.

Edith Simms
  Mrs. Edith Mae Thomas Simms, 78, of Mount Airy, died Jan. 28, 2004, at Glade 
Valley Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Walkersville. 
  Mrs. Simms was born May 25, 1925 in Fountain Mills, Frederick County, 
Maryland. She was the daughter of the late Elsie Monroe Zeigler and Late Mervin 
Thomas.
  She was the wife of James A. Simms Sr. of Mount Airy. They were married for 56 
years. She was a housewife, enjoyed watching TV, reading and cooking. She was a 
member of Warren United Methodist Church and Myra Grand Order of Eastern Star 
P.H.A. No. 62. 
  Surviving in addition to her husband are eight children, Ernest Thomas of 
Mount Airy, Elise Dorsey and husband Leon of New Windsor, Nancy Myers and 
husband Raymond of Olney, Mary Chaney and husband John of New Market, Shelia 
Simms and friend Adlar Anderson of Germantown, James Simms, II of Germantown, 
Ernestine Simms-Kigh of Grand Prairie, Texas, and Shirley Simms of Mount Airy; 
one brother, Sterling Zeigler; one sister, Helen Dorsey; and a host of dedicated 
and loving grandchildren, great-grandchildren, a great-great grandchild, 
brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, cousins and friends. 
  Mrs. Simms was preceded in death by two sisters, Thelma Burroughs and Madeline 
Zeigler; two brothers, Ulysses Zeigler and Douglas (Jim Boy) Williams; two 
daughters-in-law, Veronia Simms and Betty Thomas; and one son-in-law, Carvel 
Kigh; and one grand-son, Matthew Simms.
  Funeral services were held on Tuesday, Feb. 3, at Calvary United Methodist 
Church, 403 South Main St., Mount Airy, with Pastor Sharon Gibson officiating. 
Interment is in Lake View Memorial Park, 2 Sykesville.
  Arrangements were made by Burrier-Queen Funeral Directors, P.A., 1212 West Old 
Liberty Road, Winfield.

Margaret Slick
  Margaret J. Bailey Slick, 64, of Monrovia, died Monday Feb. 2, 2004 at College 
View Center in Frederick.
  She was born June 1, 1939, in Tazwell, Va., the daughter of the late Robert P. 
Bailey and the late Mary Hazel Blankenship Bailey.
  She was the wife of the late William Howard Slick.
  She is survived by one son, William Robert Slick and wife Diana Jean of 
Monrovia; two daughters, Shirley Ann Prichard and husband Donald of Mount Alto, 
Pa., and Barbara Jean Slick and friend Austin Gorsuch of Woodsboro. She is also 
survived by two sisters, Shirley Ann Harder of Laurel and Nora May Wright of 
Damascus, six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. She was preceded in 
death by one great-granddaughter, Gabriella Naverro.
  She was loved and will be dearly missed by friends and family.
  Friends may call at Burrier-Queen Funeral Directors, P.A., 1212 W. Old Liberty 
Road, Winfield (beside South Carroll High School) on Friday, Feb. 6, 2004 from 
10:00 a.m. till noon, at which time funeral services will begin. The Rev. Herman 
Sirk of Goshen Mennonite Church and the Rev. Frank Reno will be officiating. 
  Interment will be in True Gospel Cemetery, Lisbon. 

Elizabeth S. Taylor
  Elizabeth Salchunas Taylor, 91, of Ellicott City, died Wednesday, Jan. 28, 
2004, at Millenium Health Care Center, Ellicott City. Born November 1, 1912, in 
Maryland, she was the daughter of the late William and Theresa Duback Salchunas. 
She was the wife of the late Clifford Ward Taylor Sr.
  She had been a secretary for many years.
  Surviving are sons and daughters-in-law, Clifford W. Jr. and Debra Taylor of 
Marriottsville and Gary F. and Janice Taylor of Cincinnati, Ohio; sisters 
Theresa Strohminger of Mount Airy, Edna Siebert of Catonsville and Mildred 
Marriner of Hagerstown; grandchildren, Laura Lambros of Los Angeles, Calif., 
Kathryn Taylor of Washington, D.C., Rebecca Taylor of Clifton, Va., Jefferson 
Taylor of Cincinnati, Ohio, and Joshua Taylor of Marriottsville; and great-
granddaughter Emelia Lambros of Los Angeles, Calif.
  She was predeceased by her siblings, George and Anton Salchunas and Margaret 
Brook.
  Funeral services were held on Saturday at 11 a.m. from Haight Funeral Home & 
Chapel, Sykesville, with Rev. Diane Summerhill officiating. Interment is in 
Carrollton Church of God Cemetery, Finksburg.

David Tignor Sr.
  David R. Tignor Sr., 62, of Granite, died Saturday, Jan. 31, 2004, at Sinai 
Hospital, Baltimore.. 
  He was born July 13, 1941 in Howard County, Maryland, the son of Freda H. 
Affeldt Tignor of Eldersburg and the late Grady Thomas Tignor.
  He was the husband of Mary Ann Pickett Tignor of Granite. 
  He was a retired steel worker machinist for Local Union No. 12 and he loved 
wood working and gardening. 
  Survivors besides his wife and mother are sons David Randall Tignor Jr. of 
Finksburg, Gregory Allen Tignor and wife Aileen of Glen Rock, Pa., Brian Kevin 
Tignor and wife Jamie of Sykesville, Steven Bradley Tignor and wife Tambrey of 
Westminster; daughter Connie Marie Bettendorf and husband Robert of Union 
Bridge; siblings, Donald M. Tignor of Pasadena, S. Jean Edmondson of Eldersburg, 
Sharon L. Jordan of Eldersburg; and grandchildren, David Ray, Nickolas Cody, 
Matthew Jacob, Kandace Brooke, Jennifer Marie, Megan Rose and Alexander Mendoza.
  He was predeceased by a son, Brandon Edward Tignor, and sisters Ruby Lee and 
Barbara A. Tyler.

Rose Marie Yeager
  Rose Marie Yeager, 72, of Sykesville, died Sunday, Jan. 25, 2004, at her home. 
Born September 18, 1931, in Baltimore, she was the daughter of Vincent Richard 
Catano of Gansevoort, N.Y. and the late Lillian Melissa Hauf Kopp. She was the 
wife of the late Daniel Lawrence Yeager.
  She had been a homemaker for most of her life.
  Surviving in addition to her father are son Daniel Vincent Yeager of 
Westminster; daughters and son-in-law Dinah and Carl Thompson, Roxann Yeager and 
Darlene Mary Yeager, all of Sykesville; brother and sister-in-law Vincent H. and 
Betty Catano of Sykesville; granddaughter Jennifer Thompson of Rosedale and 
great-grandson Brandon.
  She was predeceased by her sister, Lillian Kicas.
  Funeral services will be held on Thursday at 10 a.m. from Haight Funeral Home

Joseph Braglio
  Joseph Braglio, 92, of Woodstock, Md., died Friday, February 6, 2004, at 
Mariner Health Care.
  He was the husband of the late Ida Myers Braglio. He was born September 16, 
1911. in Baltimore.
  Mr. Braglio was the founder of the Windsor Inn and worked along with his son 
and grandson at the Woodstock Inn and Millstream Inn. Mr. Braglio was one of the 
founders of the Baltimore County Licensed Beverage Association. He loved horse 
racing and owned race horses for numerous years. 
  Surviving him are grandsons, Anthony "Scott" Braglio, Sr. and Joseph Wayne 
Braglio, Jr.; and great grandsons Anthony Scott Braglio, Jr., Roman Joseph 
Braglio, Jared Joseph Braglio and Megan Rose Braglio.
  He was preceded in death by his son Joseph "Wayne" Braglio, Sr.

Lois E. Duvall
  Mrs. Lois E. Duvall, 76, of Mount Airy died on Friday, February 6, 2004, at 
Shady Grove Adventist Hospital. She was the wife of John B. Duvall.
  Born on October 31, 1927, in Maryland, she was the daughter of the late R. 
Dewey and Rosie Beall Brown.
  Mrs. Duvall was a member of the Montgomery United Methodist Church, Damascus.
  Surviving in addition to her husband are three children, Shirley Devilbiss and 
her husband Jim of Damascus, Darlene Hernandez and her husband Steve of Las 
Cruces, New Mexico, and Donna Schoenberg and her husband Herb of Mount Airy; 7 
grandchildren, Doug Browning and his wife Judy, Scott Browning and his wife 
Stephanie, Lori Browning and her fiancé Shawn Snyder, Kathy Browning, Philip 
Hernandez and Holly and Kara Schoenberg; and 2 great grandchildren, Ryan and 
Morgan Browning.

J. Charles Hartman
  J. Charles Hartman, 93, of Westminster, died Sunday, February 8, 2004, at 
Charlestown Retirement Health Care Center in Catonsville, Md.
  He was born September 15, 1910, in Baltimore, the son of the late Charles S. 
Hartman and the late Charlotte S. Scoggins Hartman. 
  He was the husband of the late Josephine M. Ruffin Hartman. 
  He was a retired agent for the Railway Express. 
  He was the father of Lois M. Winship of Towson and Charlotte Foster of 
Sykesville. He is also survived by 7 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren and 1 
great-great grandchild.

George Koch
  Mr. George John Koch, Sr., 86, of Mount Airy, died on Sunday, February 8, 
2004, at Northampton Manor Nursing Home, Frederick. He was the husband of 
Kathryn Herr Koch. 
  Born on March 24, 1917, in Baltimore, he was the son of the late Gustav Otto 
and Alice Kirby Koch.
  In addition to his wife, he is survived by two daughters, Lonnie Warfield and 
Dawn Koch-Berry; two sons, Butch Ford and George Koch; 6 grandchildren; two 
great grandchildren; and a brother Julius Koch.
  Mr. Koch was preceded in death by daughter, Jacqueline Koch.

Helen E. Schildwachter
  Helen Elaine Schildwachter of Sykesville, died Saturday, February 7, 2004, at 
Continuum Care at Sykesville. She was the wife of Fredrick W. Schildwachter of 
Sykesville.
  She had been an account executive and program manager for various radio 
stations. She was a member of Holy Spirit Lutheran Church in Eldersburg where 
she sang in the choir. She sang in the Baltimore Symphony Chorus. She enjoyed 
photography and loved animals and supported the Humane Society.
  Surviving in addition to her husband are brother Parke Everhart of Hanover, 
Pa. and sisters, Julia E. Keller of Westminster and Raechel Riffle of York, PAa. 
  Funeral services were held on Wednesday at Holy Spirit Lutheran Church, 2205 
Old Liberty Rd., Eldersburg, with Pastor Eugene Alexander officiating. Interment 
in Druid Ridge Cemetery, Pikesville.

G. Marie Watts,
  Glenna Marie Watts, 70, of Sykesville, died on Tuesday, February 3, 2004, at 
her home.
  She was born on November 4, 1933, in Iuka, Illinois. She was the wife of 
Thomas Edison Watts of Sykesville.
  She retired as a secretary from the Department of Agriculture, Beltsville, in 
addition to being a homemaker. 
  Surviving in addition to her husband is a daughter, Tracy E. Patrick of 
Sykesville; a granddaughter, Raven Marie Watts; and several nieces and nephews.
  A funeral service was held at Feb. 5 at the Haight Funeral Home & Chapel, 
Sykesville. Officiating was Pastor Gerald Stone of Calvary United Methodist 
Church in Gamber. Entombment is in Meadowridge Memorial Park.

Gene S. Aldous
  Gene Stevens Aldous, 70, of Damascus died after a brief illness Feb. 13, 2004, 
at Casey House in Rockville.
  Born in Denver, he was the son of Shaler E. Aldous, Iris S. Aldous and Isabel 
D. Aldous. 
  He moved to Montgomery County in 1948, where he graduated from Bethesda-Chevy 
Chase High School in 1951. He was active in the D.C. Dragons Hot Rod Club. He 
went to technical school in Nashville, Tenn., learned his trade and then worked 
in the field for 10 years before attending Montgomery College at the Takoma Park 
campus. He then received a degree from American University in political science.
  In 1966 he was hired to create a vocational auto body and automotive painting 
program for Montgomery County Public Schools at Gaithersburg High School, where 
he taught for 28 years, retiring in 1994. 
  His lifelong passion was photography, and he was an award-winning 
photographer. His photographs were published in national magazines as well as in 
a book about Maryland wildflowers. 
  Survivors include his wife of 37 years, Nancy Haines Aldous; two sons, Travis 
Haines Aldous of Gaithersburg and Bradley Tucker Aldous of New York City; one 
grandson; and a sister, Marcella A. Burroughs.
  Mr. Aldous was preceded in death by two siblings, Elaine MacKenzie and Kenneth 
Aldous.
  Friends may gather on Sunday at 2 p.m. at the Brookside Gardens Visitor Center 
Auditorium, 1800 Glenallen Ave., Wheaton.
  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Montgomery

Margaret Beall
  Mrs. Margaret R. Beall, 76 of Mount Airy died on Tuesday, February 9, 2004, at 
the Gilchrist Center, Baltimore. She was the wife of Malcolm Candyman Beall.
  Born on September 10, 1927, in Germantown, Maryland, she was the daughter of 
the late Richard and Esther Earp Howard. 
  Mrs. Beall was active in bowling and enjoyed fishing. 
  Surviving in addition to her husband are three daughters; Patricia Wright and 
her companion Jimmy Mercer of Hagerstown; Dorothy Hill and husband Gary of 
Buckeystown; Brenda Law and husband Robert of Martinsburg, W.Va.; two sons, John 
Ward and wife Joyce of Wolfsville; Tollie Presley, Jr. and wife Robin of Ashton. 
13 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren, 3 great-great grandchildren, one 
special grandson, Gary Hill, Jr.; 5 sisters, 3 brothers, a special niece Joyce 
Cline of Mouny Airy, dpecial friend Katie Trent and numerous nieces and nephews. 
She is preceded in death by 2 sisters and 4 brothers.
  Funeral services were held on Monday, February 16, 2004, at 11:00 a.m.at Olin 
L. Molesworth P.A., Funeral Home, 26401 Ridge Road, Damascus. Interment is in 
Bethesda Methodist Cemetery, Damascus.

Michael R. Kines
  Michael Richard Kines, 58, of Monrovia, died of pulmonary fibrosis Feb. 15, 
2004, at his home. Born Feb. 26, 1945, in Cheverly, he was the son of the late 
Albert and Alice Tucker Kines. He was the husband of Beverly Woltz Kines for 38 
years.
  Mr. Kines grew up in the Hyattsville area but lived in Monrovia for 30 years. 
He served in the U.S. Army from 1966 to 1968 as a pharmacy technician. He was 
stationed at the Pentagon after completing boot camp in South Carolina and 
pharmacy training at Fort Sam Houston, Texas.
  Mr. Kines was an assistant manager for Safeway Stores Inc. for 35 years. He 
often enjoyed expressing his creative talents in building store displays. 
  He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints since 1965 
and participated in his local congregation in Mount Airy since moving to the 
area in 1974. His hobbies included fishing, watching Maryland Terrapins games 
and cooking.
  Survivors in addition to his wife include four children, Stephanie Quinn and 
her husband Michael of Mount Airy, Michele Bohm and her husband Richard of 
Maryville, Ill., Scott Kines of Logan, Utah, and Heidi Carmack and her husband 
Edward of Walkersville; one brother, Randolph Kines and his wife Teresa of 
Boonsboro; and 13 grandchildren.
  The family will receive friends on Friday from 6-8:30 p.m. at the Stauffer 
Funeral Home, 8 East Ridgeville Blvd., Mount Airy. A funeral service will be 
held at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Route 27 and Main 
Street extended, Mount Airy, on Saturday at 10 a.m. 
  There will be a brief viewing at the church 9-9:30 a.m. prior to the funeral. 
A graveside dedication service will be held immediately following the funeral. 
Burial will be in Resthaven Memorial Gardens, Frederick.
  Arrangements were made by Stauffer Funeral Home, Mount Airy.

Carl Parker
  Carl Weston Parker, 84, of Frederick, formerly of Rockville, died Saturday 
February 14, 2004, at Citizens Nursing Home, Frederick.
  He was the husband of the late Eva Wohlforth Parker.
  He was born October 26, 1919, in Morganton, N.C., the son of the late Duncan 
Shaw Parker and Marie Davis Parker
  Mr. Parker was a retired auto glass mechanic who had worked for Enterprise 
Auto Glass. He was a sergeant in the US Army serving during WWII. 
  He grew up in Washington, D.C., and raised his children in Rockville. Mr. 
Parker was a resident of the Odd Fellows Home in Frederick until its recent 
closing.
  He is survived by son and daughter-in-law, Dennis and Maura Parker of Mount 
Airy; son and daughter-in-law, Gary and Anne Parker of Bridgewater, Vermont; and 
grandchildren, Josh Murray, Megan, Marissa, Daniel, Graham, and Jeremy Parker.
  Funeral services were held Feb. 16 at noon at Burrier-Queen Funeral Home, 1212 
West Old Liberty Rd. Winfield, with Fr. Leo Tittler officiating.
  Interment is in Parklawn Memorial Gardens, Rockville.

Thomas W. Arnold
  Thomas William Arnold, 90, of Sykesville, died Saturday, February 21, 2004, at 
Pleasant View Nursing Home, Mount Airy. Born April 19, 1913, in Sneedville, 
Tennessee, he was the son of the late L. D. and Laura Givens Arnold. He was the 
husband of the late Ruby Lee Arnold.
  He was a retired warehouseman with Calvert Distillery Company where he had 
worked for 30 years. He was an Army veteran of WWII.
  Surviving are daughter Lola Sue Kayler of Phoenix, Md., and brother Daris 
Arnold of Tennessee.
  Funeral services were held on Wednesday at 10 a.m. from Liberty Baptist 
Church, 1200 Madison St., Lisbon. Interment in Crest Lawn Memorial Gardens, 
Marriottsville.
  Arrangements were made by the Haight Funeral Home & Chapel, Sykesville.

Ruth Davenport
  Mrs. Ruth Lucille Davenport, 92, of Mount Airy died on Wednesday, Feb. 11, 
2004, at her residence. 
  Born on April 14, 1911, in Chicago, Ill., she was the daughter of the late 
Louis and Florence Eva Walker Carlson. 
  Mrs. Davenport taught in-home sewing until she married and moved to Orlando in 
the 1930s. She owned and operated the newsstand in the former San Juan Hotel for 
27 years while single-handedly caring for her parents and daughter. Mrs. 
Davenport was known for her beautiful smile and love of meeting and helping 
people. She also volunteered 1500 hours at Orlando's Regional Hospital. She 
loved traveling and sewed beautifully, coping designer clothes without the 
benefit of a pattern. In 1985 she moved in with her daughter, Joan Davenport of 
Mount Airy, her only survivor.
  Graveside services and interment will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, 
February 25, at Woodlawn Memorial Park in Winter Garden, Florida.
  In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Alzheimers 
Association, Western Maryland chapter, 108 Byte Drive, Suite 103, Frederick, MD 
21702.

Howard M. "Bud" Estep
  Howard M. "Bud" Estep, 69, of Sykesville, died Saturday, February 21, 2004 in 
Estero, Florida. Born January 18, 1935, in Baltimore, he was the son of the late 
Howard M. and Esther Kuhlman Estep. He was the husband of the late Vianna B. 
Estep who died in 1997.
  He was a graduate of Charlotte Hall Academy. He was an Army veteran of the 
Korean Conflict. He retired from BGE after 36 years of service. He was a member 
and past Commander of Sykesville American Legion Post #223. 
  Surviving are daughters and son-in-law, Sharon L. and Randy Jenkins of 
Germantown and Wendy L. Estep of Frederick; sister Ida Phelps of Sparks and 
granddaughter Emma L. Jenkins of Germantown.
  Funeral services will be held today, Feb. 29, at 10 a.m. from Haight Funeral 
Home & Chapel, 6416 Sykesville Road, Sykesville. Interment in Loudon Park 
Cemetery.

Linda Johnston
  Linda Murphy Johnston, 58. of Mount Airy, died on Tuesday February 17, 2004, 
at her home in Mount Airy after a long illness.
  She was the wife of Dr. Randolph Johnston, MD.
  She was born October 31, 1945, in Baltimore, the daughter of Hazel Webb Murphy 
of Charles Town, WV and the late Woolford Murphy.
  Mrs. Johnston was a member of St. James Episcopal Church in Mount Airy, with a 
vocational life as a passionate educator of children with special needs, a 
loving mother, generous friend and neighbor, fun grandmother and much loved 
companion.
  Surviving her besides her husband and mother are five children and seven 
grandchildren.
  Her life and death was celebrated on Sunday, February 22, 2004, at 3 p.m. at 
St. James Episcopal Church, Mount Airy, with the Rev. Portia Hirshchman 
officiating.
  Memorial contributions may be made to Carroll Hospice, 95 Carroll St. 
Westminster, MD 21157.

Michael R. Kines
  Michael Richard Kines, 58, of Monrovia, died of pulmonary fibrosis Feb. 15, 
2004, at his home. Born Feb. 26, 1945, in Cheverly, he was the son of the late 
Albert and Alice Tucker Kines. He was the husband of Beverly Woltz Kines for 38 
years.
  Mr. Kines grew up in the Hyattsville area but lived in Monrovia for 30 years. 
He served in the U.S. Army from 1966 to 1968 as a pharmacy technician. He was 
stationed at the Pentagon after completing boot camp in South Carolina and 
pharmacy training at Fort Sam Houston, Texas.
  Mr. Kines was an assistant manager for Safeway Stores Inc. for 35 years. He 
often enjoyed expressing his creative talents in building store displays. He was 
a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints since 1965 and 
participated in his local congregation in Mount Airy since moving to the area in 
1974. His hobbies included fishing, watching Maryland Terrapins games and 
cooking.
  Survivors in addition to his wife include four children, Stephanie Quinn and 
her husband Michael of Mount Airy, Michele Bohm and her husband Richard of 
Maryville, Ill., Scott Kines of Logan, Utah, and Heidi Carmack and her husband 
Edward of Walkersville; one brother, Randolph Kines and his wife Teresa of 
Boonsboro; and 13 grandchildren.
  The family will receive friends on Friday from 6-8:30 p.m. at the Stauffer 
Funeral Home, 8 East Ridgeville Blvd., Mount Airy. A funeral service will be 
held at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Route 27 and Main 
Street extended, Mount Airy, on Saturday at 10 a.m. There will be a brief 
viewing at the church 9-9:30 a.m. prior to the funeral. A graveside dedication 
service will be held immediately following the funeral. Burial will be in 
Resthaven Memorial Gardens, Frederick.

Richard B. Musgrove
  Richard Bowie Musgrove, 87, of Woodbine, died Thursday, February 19, 2004, at 
his home. 
  Born September 9, 1916, in Maryland, he was the son of the late James Howard 
and Rachel Reed Musgrove. He was the husband of the late Ruth Margaret Musgrove.
  He was an army veteran of WWII. He retired from Howard County Public Roads 
where he had been in maintenance. He was a member of Mount Airy American Legion 
Post #191. He enjoyed woodworking, horses and fishing.
  Surviving are son, Jack Wayne Branch of Glen Burnie; brother, Robert Lee 
Musgrove of Arizona; grandchildren, Marianne Livesay of Sykesville, Tammy Tabb 
of Street, Sharon Branch of Santa Cruz, Cal., Marvin Branch of Essex and Melissa 
Branch of Glen Burnie; great-grandchildren, Kevin Livesay, Heather Livesay-
Crosby, Lauren Deneen, Brittany Tallivast and Ashlee Branch and great-great 
grandchild Makayla Crosby.
  He was predeceased by his siblings, James Albert Musgrove, Catherine Miles and 
Annie L. Tate.
  Funeral services were held on Sunday at Haight Funeral Home & Chapel, 
Sykesville. Inurnment will be in Crest Lawn Memorial Gardens on Saturday, 
February 28, 2004. at 11a.m.

Joseph F. Papa
  Joseph Frank Papa, 88 of Ellicott City, died Saturday, February 21, 2004 at 
Carroll Hospital Center, Westminster. Born October 15, 1915 in Baltimore, he was 
the son of the late Vincent and Concetta Barranco Papa. He was the husband of 
Ruth Neal Papa of Ellicott City.
  He was self employed in the produce industry. He was also a chef and had owned 
and operated two restaurants. He worked hard and loved kids. He was a born again 
Christian.
  Surviving in addition to his wife are son and daughter-in-law Samuel Vincent 
and Betty Papa of Ellicott City and grandchildren Michelle Lynn Papa, Robin 
Renee Papa and Joseph Samuel Papa.
  He was predeceased by several siblings.
  Funeral services were held on Tuesday at 11a.m. from Haight Funeral Home & 
Chapel, 6416 Sykesville Road, Sykesville. Interment isin Crest Lawn Memorial 
Gardens, Marriottsville.

Louise S. Phillips
  Louise S. Phillips, 103, of Sykesville, died Saturday, February 21, 2004, at 
Long View Nursing Center, Manchester. Born January 22, 1901, in Maryland, she 
was the daughter of the late William F. and Marie R. Schneider Schrage. She was 
the wife of the late Carroll Bell Phillips.
  She was a retired telephone operator with C & P Telephone. She was the oldest 
member of Wards Chapel United Methodist Church.
  Surviving are one niece and several great-great nieces and nephews.
  Funeral services will be held on Friday at 1 p.m. from Haight Funeral Home & 
Chapel, 6416 Sykesville Road, Sykesville, with Rev. Don Burgard officiating. 
Interment will be in New Oakland Cemetery.
  Friends may call at the funeral home from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Thursday.

Marcia Trimble
  Mrs. Marcia Mae Routson Trimble, 42, of Mount Airy, died on Tuesday, February 
17, 2004, at her home. She was the wife of Mark B. Trimble.
  Born on November 26,1961, in Terre Haute, Ind., she was a daughter of Carol 
Henson Routson and the late James R. (Bob) Routson.
  Mrs. Trimble was a member of St. Michael's Catholic Church, Poplar Springs. 
She was a graduate of University of Maryland with a degree in Elementary 
Education. She was very active in her community as a troop leader with the Girl 
Scouts and a cheerleader coach. 
  Surviving beside her husband and mother are two daughters; Carleigh A. and 
Rhian M. Trimble at home; two brothers, Mark Routson and wife Licia of 
Gaithersburg and Jon Routson of Baltimore.
  Memorial services were held at Stauffer Funeral Home, 8 E. Ridgeville Blvd., 
Mount Airy, on Friday, Feb. 20, with the Rev. Michael Ruane officiating.
