Robert R. Scott, Selma Native, Dies In Texas

Robert R. Scott, 41, Houston, Texas, died Thursday, May 21, 1970, in a
Houston, Texas hospital, following a lengthy illness.  He was a native of
Selma.

Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. Saturday in the Lincecum Baptist Church
with the Rev. Victor Mathews officiating.  Burial was in the Georgetown
Cemetery under direction of Southern Funeral Home in Winnfield.

Survivors include his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Lonnie Scott of Georgetown; seven
brothers, R. W. Scott, Lonnie Lee Scott, both of Houston, Texas, Howard Scott
of Dallas, Texas, Edwin Scott of Georgetown, James Scott of Marlow, Oklahoma,
Edwin Scott of Trout, Ivy Scott of Crowley; five sisters, Mrs. Elsie Chapman
of Summerfield, Mrs. Estelle Tannehill of Pineville, Mrs. Elaine McCArtney
of Tioga, Mrs. Helen Lee of Urania, Mrs. Laverne McCartney of Longview, Texas;
and a large number of nieces and nephews.
