Funeral Rites For Mrs. Carter Held Saturday

Mrs. Robert B. Carter, 72, of Winnfield died Thursday, October 25, 1973 in a
local hospital.

Mrs. Carter was a member of the Sardis Baptist church and a native of
Montgomery.

Funeral services were held Saturday in the Southern Funeral Home Chapel with
the Rev. Jay Franklin officiating.  Burial was in the Garden of Memories
Cemetery.

Survivors include her husband, Robert B. Carter; three sons, Joseph W. Carter
of Petal, Miss., Robert R. Carter of Brockton, Mass., and Stanley Carter of
Rosepine; three daughters, Mrs. Opal E. Lang, Mrs. Priscilla Burch, and Mrs.
Doris Walker, all of Winnfield; a brother, Chester Campbell of Winnfield; a
sister, Mrs. Bessie Richardson of Jena; 20 grandchildren, and four great
grandchildren.

Pallbearers included Phillip Lang, John E. Lang, Machen Garrett, Rodney
Kelly, Ollie Bishop, and J. L. Carter.
