Lawrence Whitten Jr.

Lawrence Leon Whitten Jr., 78, a native of Shreveport and resident of New 
Orleans, died Tuesday, July 5, 2005.

Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to funeral time Wednesday in the chapel of Holy 
Angels in New Orleans. Memorial service will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday in the 
chapel. Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday in Bethel Cemetery in 
Logansport.

He is survived by two sons, Barry Whitten of New Orleans and John Whitten of 
Houma; two daughters, Teresa W. Domangue and Ann Marie Whitten, both of Houma; 
one brother, Huey L. Whitten; 13 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Lawrence L. Whitten Sr. and Joy Bell 
Odon Whitten; and one sister, John R. Honeycutt.

He was a U.S. World War II Navy veteran and was retired from Gould National 
Battery.

He was Baptist.
