SCOTT, ALEXANDER
Alexander Scott, 74 native of New Bern, North Carolina, and resident of
Hammond, passed away at North Oaks Medical Center on April 12, 2012. He is
survived by his loving wife, Leatha Scott, four daughters; Sondra Scott,
Cherie Ritter, Leslie Fowler and Shannon McElwee, and five sons; Phillip
Scott, Nathaniel Scott, Darreil McElwee, Aric Scott, and Alexander Scott,
Jr. He also leaves to cherish his memories 17 grandchildren and 10 great -
grandchildren as well as a host of other relatives and friends. He was
preceded in death by his parents, Marzella Gaskins and John Scott and his
sister, Daisy Webb. Pastor Charles Hart will conduct funeral services on
Saturday, April 21, 2012, at 11 a.m. at Sweet Home Missionary Baptist
Church. Interment will follow at the Sweet Home Church Cemetery.

Riverside, Calif. -- Alma Joy Scott, 87, died Sunday, Aug. 15, 2004, at
Riverside Community Hospital, Riverside, Calif. She was a longtime
resident of Hammond. She is survived by one sister, Thelma Washington
Lewis of New Orleans; one daughter, Helen Lawless of Riverside; one son,
Larry Scott of Gulfport, Miss.; eight grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren
and one great-great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by her husband,
Noah Scott; her parents, George and Florence Washington; six brothers and

Age 84, a native of Pumpkin Center and resident of Albany, Almatine passed
away on Friday, May 11, 2012. She retired as a CNA with Hammond State
School after many years of dedicated service. Almatine was a member of
Bethlehem Baptist Church and also a member of the Camellia Chapter 142,
Order of Eastern Star in Amite. Almatine leaves behind her daughters,
Clara Ann Dupre of Pumpkin Center, Pat Milton of Springfield, Janet James
of Loranger, Robbie Hermann of Albany; son, Robert R. ÒBudÓ Scott, Jr. of
Albany; eight grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, one great-great-
grandson, along with numerous nieces and nephews. Preceding Almatine in
death were her husband, Robert R. Scott, Sr.; infant granddaughter; father,
Marshall Emmett Coates; mother, Effie Anne Traylor Coates; two sisters and
four brothers. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend
the religious services from the chapel of Brandon G. Thompson Funeral Home,

SCOTT, GERALDINE ROBERTSON
Our most beloved mother, grandmother, sister and aunt was ushered
into heaven by Jesus Monday, March 8, 2004. Even in her death
she graciously testified of her Lord and Savior as she passed
peacefully into His presence. She was 74 and a lifelong resident
of Tickfaw. Known for her servant's heart, she touched the lives
of all who knew her. Born June 28, 1929, she was one of 10
children born to Ray Odele Robertson and Edna Idele Robertson.
On March 8, 1952, she was married to Wiley Edward Scott. She was
preceded in death by her parents; husband, Wiley Scott; and a
brother, Ray W. Robertson. She is survived by two daughters,
Dorothy Faye Scott and Jennie Lynn Scott Jeansonne and son-in-
law, Larry Jeansonne; beloved nephew, whom she loved as a son,
the Rev. Jason Edward Robertson and his wife, Tasha, and two
sons, Jake and Collin; two grandsons, Jeremy Paul Rayborn and
Lance Allen Rayborn; a granddaughter-in-law, Susan Rayborn; two
great-grandchildren, Andie and Ryan Rayborn; eight devoted
brothers and sisters, the Rev. Jimmy Robertson, Doc Robertson,
Louis Robertson, Ed Robertson, Olga Dubois, Ruth Cook O'Neill,
JoAnn Neames and Lynda Sibley; and a host of nieces and nephews
whom she loved dearly. Visitation will be at Countryside Baptist
Church in Tickfaw from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. Tuesday and from 9 a.m.

(Dickie) Burris, daughter-in-law Elaine and granddaughter Megan, daughter
M'Lou and son-in-law David Thompson Sr., grandson David Thompson Jr., and
granddaughter Emily Mayeaux, husband Jared, and great-granddaughters, Mary
and Sarah. He gave and received such heart felt love and compassion from
Mary Lou's children and their families. He always considered it a most
distinct privilege and a continuing pleasure to be closely associated with
all of his in-laws, including Mrs. Georgia Russell, Mrs. Nan Simmons, Mr.
and Mrs. Allen Pierson, Dr. and Mrs. Paul Riggs and all of their families.
He was predeceased by his first wife, formerly, Beverly Louis Parker, also
of Ponchatoula, who died in 1997. They had five wonderful children while
living in Fort Walton Beach, FL. They are: John Milton Jr., wife Pam and
daughter Erica, Beverly Maureen and son Sean Barber and wife LuCreatia and
children, Tyler and Kyndall, David Wilson and wife Angie along with their
sons Derek and Jason and wife Candice, and also Robert Kevin and wife Kathy
and their children Jaime, husband Russ, Leslie, and son Brian and his wife.
Milton was born in 1922 in Brownsville Tennessee. He moved to Ponchatoula
in 1946 and lived with his brother Glenn Scott. He flew for the Navy and
then settled in Fort Walton Beach, FL, working for civil service before
remarrying and moving back to Ponchatoula. He will be sorely missed by all
whose lives he touched. He was truly, a wonderful husband, father,
grandfather, great grandfather, but most importantly, a loving friend to
all. Viewing will be held at First Baptist Church of Ponchatoula, LA, on
Sunday 2/08/09 from 2:00 until 4:00 p.m, with a memorial service at
4:00 p.m.
