RUCKER, JAMES
A retired truck driver and resident of Baton Rouge, he died at 10:30 a.m.
Monday, Jan. 4, 2010, at Baton Rouge General Medical Center-Bluebonnet. He
was 78 and a native of Amite. Memorial service at Carney-Mackey Funeral
Home, 1576 Robin St., on Friday, Jan. 15, at 9 a.m., conducted by Andrew
Darby Jr., pastor. Survived by his daughter, Jennifer Rucker; three sons,
Lionel Anderson, Larry Anderson and Jeffery Rucker; two sisters, Lillian
Robertson and Vivian McGhee; brother-in-law, Charley McGhee; and eight
grandchildren. Preceded in death by his mother, Bussie Huff Rucker; father,
Ike Rucker; and brothers, Ike Rucker Jr. and Porter Rucker.

RUCKER, ROBERT MALCOLM
A resident of St. Tammany Parish for the past 25 years, he died Wednesday, 
March 7, 2001. He was the beloved husband of Margaret Evans Rucker; father
of Kathryn L. Rucker, Janet R. Cartier and Yvonne R. Carriere; brother of
Edward A. Rucker III, Amy Rucker Kreubbe and Marie Rucker Dendy; and is
also survived by 12 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. He was 68
and a native of New Orleans. He was a graduate of John McCrady School of
Fine Art in New Orleans and was a prominent artist in the state for the 
past 45 years, having been named a Louisiana Legend in 1997. His art is
acclaimed and admired throughout the United States and 19 of his paintings
are included in the Historic New Orleans Collection. Relatives and friends
of the family are invited to attend visitation at Our Lady of the Lake
Catholic Church, corner of Jefferson and Lafitte streets, Mandeville, from
9 a.m. Saturday until funeral Mass at 9:30 a.m. Visitation at E.J. Fielding
Funeral Home, 2260 W. 21st Ave., Covington, from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Friday.
Interment in Greenlawn Cemetery, Hammond.
