Mrs. Dottie Jane Williams Vice

  Funeral services for Mrs. Dottie Jane Williams Vice, 84, of
Beckville, Texas, were held at 12 noon, Wednesday, October 31, at
Pine Grove Assembly, in Beckville, Texas. Interment followed in
the Langley Cemetery, under the direction of Jimerson Funeral
Home. Rev. Jack Harris officiated.

  Mrs. Vice passed away Monday, October 29, at Panola General
Hospital in Carthage, Texas. She was born April 19, 1906, and was
a lifelong resident of Panola County. She was the daughter of
John and Mary Jane Rhodes Williams. Mrs. Vice was a retired nurse
at Panola General Hospital, and Panola Nursing Home. She was a
member of the Beckville Garden Club, and the Pine Grove Assembly.
Mrs. Vice was preceded in death by her husband, Mr. Roy Vice,
after 62 year of marriage, on June 12, 1986.

  She is survived by one son, L. R. Vice of Shreveport; eight
daughters, Ann Jester of Jakarta, Indonesia, Marie Young, and
Myrle Bates of Longview, Texas, Betty Sipes of Tatum, Texas,
Elsie Killian of Florien, Ruth Arnold, and Lois Nugent of
Shreveport, Evelyn Porter of Spring, Texas; one brother, Johnny
Williams of Churchill, Texas; twenty-six grandchildren; forty
great grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; and a number of
nieces and nephews.

  Pallbearers included Jamie Adkins, Lynn Arnold, Jeff Killian,
Ray Porter, Barney Sipes, and Willard Young Jr.
