Robert R. McDonald

  Services for Mr. Robert R. McDonald, 83, of Converse, were held
at 2:30 p.m., Sunday, July 7, at the Converse Baptist Church. The
Rev. Jerry Schmucker officiated, assisted by the Rev. James
Miller. Burial was at Converse Cemetery, under the direction of
Drewett Funeral Home.

  Mr. McDonald died Friday, July 5, 1985, in Mansfield, after a
brief illness. He was a lifelong resident of the Converse
community, and was a retired oil field worker.

  He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Gladys G. McDonald of Converse;
four sons, Don McDonald, and Jerry McDonald of Converse, J. T.
McDonald of Opelousas, La., Robert McDonald of Shreveport, La.;
two daughters, Mary Johnson of Shreveport, Betty English of
Keithville, La.; nine grandchildren; six great grandchildren; one
brother, Edwin McDonald of Converse; several nieces and nephews.
