Robert R. Carter

  Robert R. Carter, 72, of Many, died Friday, April 20, at 8:50
a.m., from an extended illness.

  Funeral services were held Monday, April 23, at 2 p.m., at the
Many First Baptist Church, with the Rev. Perry Lassiter
officiating. Interment was in the Many Cemetery, under the
direction of Warren Meadows Funeral Home. Masonic rites were held
at the graveside.

  Mr. Carter was a lifelong resident of Sabine Parish. He was
Scottish Wright 32nd degree mason.

  Survivors are his wife, Mrs. Robert R. Carter of Many; one
step-son, Robert L. James of St. Louis, Missouri; one
step-daughter, Mrs. Mat Wadatz of Miami, Florida; one brother,
Amos Carter of Negreet, and four step-grandchildren.
