  There is a new, bright, and beautiful star shining in the
firmament tonight. Mr. John Riley Brown died suddenly, Sunday,
Dec. 12, 1993, in an auto accident in Esmont, Va.

  He was the husband of Brandy Gail Perdue Brown; father of Kasha
Marie, and Angela Lynn Brown of Esmont; son of James R. and Joyce
D. Brown of Many; brother of James M. Brown of California, Jamie
M. Gaugler of N. J., Lynda L. Blankenship of Tex., Kitty R. Brown
of Arizona, Ginger R. Newman of California, and Cherokee R.
Walker of Florien.

  John joined the Marine Corp. at the age of 17, where he
distinguished himself through his organizational ability. He met
and married Brandy Gail, and later moved to Charlottesville, Va.,
where he became purchasing agent of the Environmental Dept. of
the University of Virginia.

  He was loved by all who had the pleasure of meeting and knowing
him. His wise advise, humorous attitude, and helpful ways will be
sadly missed.

  He was 32 years old on Dec. 11.
