LULA MYRES

Funeral services for Lula Myres 91, of Monroe, will be held at 11:00 AM, 
Thursday, October 11, 2012 at Mulhearn Funeral Home, Sterlington Road, Monroe, 
with Rev. Charles V. Dupree officiating. Interment will follow at Mulhearn 
Memorial Park Cemetery.

Mrs. Myres passed away Monday, October 8, 2012, at St. Francis Medical Center. 
She was a devoted member of New Chapel Hill Baptist Church.

Mrs. Myres was preceded in death by her parents, Horace Ezell and Sinnie 
Ezell; husband James J. Myres; brothers, Edgar Ezell, Johnny Ezell, Herman 
Ezell, and J.L. "Pete" Ezell; and sister, Lena Rae Harmon.

Survivors include her daughter, Virdie M. McCormick and husband Harold of 
Calhoun, LA; son, James H. Myres and wife Alice of Oak Ridge, LA; six 
grandchildren, Kimberly A. Ford and husband Herman, Sharon R. Boothe and 
husband Michael, Ronald L. Dowd and wife Tammy, Edith A. Dement and husband 
David, Dameon Myres, Stephen Myres; thirteen great-grandchildren, one great-
great-granddaughter, one sister-in-law, Marie Ezell, and numerous nieces and 
nephews and two step grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Dexter Murphy, Kolton Murphy, Caleb Dement, David Dement, 
Alex Boothe, Rory Boothe, Don Price, and Jody Tomlinson.

Visitation will be from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM Wednesday, Mulhearn Funeral Home.

Memorials may be made to New Chapel Hill Baptist Church Building Fund.

The family would like to extend a special thanks to her caregivers Ann Griffin 
and Susan Crawford.
