NECROLOGICAL.

DIED: At the residence of her husband, in New Iberia, on Monday, March 11th, 
1912, at 7:25 A. M., Mrs. Claude Lacoste, nee Marie Etie, aged 35 years, 9 
months and 12 days. The funeral took place from St. Peter's Catholic church on 
Tuesday evening at 4 o'clock.

OBITUARY.

On the early morn of March 11th, 1912, surrounded by dear relatives, a
devoted husband and sorrowing friends, a sweet life passed away as the pure
soul of Mrs. Claude Lacoste, nee Marie A. Etie, ascended to the realms of
the Eternity. The deceased had attained her 35 years, born May 24th, 1876
of the marriage of St. Cyr Etie and Miss Camilla Labauve who belonged to the
oldest and most respected Creole families of the Attakapas. The maiden name
of the deceased was Marie A. Etie, she is mourned by her devoted husband,
Claude Lacoste and six brothers, who are Henry Etie of this Parish, Aristide
L., Alfred Emanuel J. Etie of Houston, Texas and Julius Etie of Corpus
Chrisiti (sic), Texas and St. Cyr Etie of Crowley, La.

The pall bearers were the first four named brothers, A. L., Alfred C.,
Emanuel J. and Henry and A. R. Etie, John Crouchet, Michael Crouchet and
Charles Plattsmier. The remains were followed by a large concourse of
relatives and friends to the consecrated tomb in the Catholic cemetery were
she now sleeps under a wilderness of flowers, surrounded by the loved ones
who preceeded her to her last resting place. To the desolated husband we
offer our sincere sympathies in his sad bereavement and loss in the demise
of his life long companion. - A FRIEND.
