Thomas R. Roberts

Funeral services for Thomas R. Roberts 67, of Wisner were held Sunday at
Wisner First Pentecoatal Church with the Rev. Gary Howington, the Rev.
Larry Eubanks and the Rev. Stanley Thrift officiating.
Interment followed at South Central Cemetery under the direction of
Community Memorial Funeral Home of Winnsboro.
Mr. Roberts died Friday, February 11, 2000 at his residence after a sudden
illness.  He was a resident of Franklin Parish, retired construction
worker and served 
in the United States Army and the United States Navy.
Mr. Roberts is preceded in death by a daughter and granddaughter, Stacy Haring
and Shonda Haring.
Survivors include his wife, Lillie Kenney Roberts of Wisner; children:
Robbie Roberts and wife Cindy; Lynn Barfield and husband Jay all of Wisner;
sisters: Stella Fatzer of Wisner; Pearl Calbreet of Kenner; brothers: Gerald Roberts
and Monroe Roberts, Jr. both of Wisner; grandchildren: Josh Barfield and Dillion
Barfield; also a  host of nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers were Mike McDonald, Eddie "Joey" Calbrett, Art Kenney, Clay
Kenney, Ronald Fatzer and Gene Kenney.
Honorary pallbearers were Toby Roberts, Roger McDonald and Glen Kenney.
