Funeral services for Sophia Adeline Landry, 75 of Sulphur, will be at
10:00 A.M. Sunday, August 1, 2004 from the Hixson-Sulphur Memorial Chapel.
Burial will be in the Landry Cemetery in Carlyss under the direction of
Hixson-Sulphur Memorial Funeral Home.
Mrs. Landry died Friday, July 30, 2004 at the West Calcasieu Cameron
Hospital. Visitation hours will be at the Hixson-Sulphur Memorial Funeral
Home, 2051 E. Napoleon, Sulphur, Louisiana on Saturday, July 31, 2004 from
10:00 A.M. until 9:00 P.M. and on Sunday, August 1, 2004 from 8:00 A.M.
until service time.
Mrs. Landry was born on August 7, 1928 to Charles and Estella Burch in
Johnson Bayou, Louisiana. She was an avid BINGO player at the Knights of
Columbus 8058, St. Theresa Catholic Church where she had her own private
chair. Mrs. Landry never met a stranger, she loved her family and was a
wonderful wife, mother and grandmother.
Survivors include three sons; Ferddie Lloyd Leger and wife Lynn of Dayton,
TX, Danny Floyd Leger and wife Linda of Esterwood, LA, Charles Robert
Leger and wife Kathy of Longville, LA, five daughters; Freddie Marie
Buttikofer of Lafayette, LA, Florence Diann “Ann” Welch and husband Kenny
of Hackberry, LA, Dottie Currie and companion Percy Monceaux of Carlyss,
LA, Ethel Pearl Dykes and husband Jimmy of Sulphur, LA, Ramada “Dale”
Landry of LeRoy, LA, one sister; Ophilia Marshal of Johnson Bayou, LA, 18
grandchildren, 24 great grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren.

Elvin James LeBoeuf, 92, died Friday, October 15, 2004, in his residence.
He was a native of Cameron. He was a member of Sacred Heart of Jesus
Catholic Church, American Quarter Horse Association, and the Farm Bureau.
Survivors include his wife, Rena LeBoeuf of Creole; one son, Charles R.
LeBoeuf of Lake Charles; one brother, Brown LeBoeuf of Sweetlake; 2
grandchildren, Yvette Richard and Quentin LeBoeuf; and 3 great-
grandchildren, Cody Benton, Kassie Benton, and Brandon LeBoeuf.
His funeral will be at 10 a.m. Monday, October 18, in Sacred Heart of
Jesus Catholic Church. The Rev. Joseph McGrath will officiate. Burial will
be in Sacred Heart Cemetery under the direction of Hixson Funeral Home of
Creole. Visitation is from 8 a.m. - 10 p.m. today with a rosary service at
7 p.m. and from 8 a.m. until the time of service Monday in the funeral
home.

Isabel Marie LeBoeuf

Isabel Marie LeBoeuf, 87, of Lake Charles died at 4:15 AM Thursday
September 2, 2004 in a local hospital.
Mrs. LeBoeuf was born in Morgan City, Louisiana, she lived in Creole for a
short time and then moved to Lake Charles in 1943. She was a graduate of
Morgan City High School. Mrs. LeBoeuf was a member of Our Lady Queen of
Heaven Catholic Church.
Survivors include her husband Dallas LeBoeuf; two sons Wendell O. and wife
Diane LeBeouf and Robert J. and wife Ginny LeBoeuf all of Lake Charles;
three daughters, Karen and husbandWayne Barrios of Lake Charles, Cathy and
husband Bob Peshoff of Omaha, Nebraska, and Pamela LeBoeuf of Lake
Charles; one brother, Roussell Picou of Patterson, Louisiana; two sisters,
Marjorie Grimmer of Lafayette and Mildred Cefalau of Morgan City; 14
grandchildren; and 7 great grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her parents Louis and Edna Rodriguez Picou,
three brothers, Louis, Lloyd and Byron Picou.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Sunday, September 5, 2004 in
Johnson Funeral Home. Rev. Kingsley Nonis will officiate. Burial will be
in Highland Memory Gardens. Visitation will begin on Saturday at 2:00 PM
until 10:00 PM with a scripture service to be held at 7:00 PM followed by
a rosary at 7:30 PM. Visitation will begin on Sunday at 8:00 AM until the
time of services.

Una Marie Mayo, 74, died at 2:12 am Saturday, Oct. 16, 2004.
She was a native and life long resident of the Big Lake-Lake Charles area.

Creole - Cheryl Lee Michel, 54, died Nov 20, 2004, in a Lake Charles hospital.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Anna Mae Vaughan Bouffanie.

Mary Jane Miller
Mary Jane LaBove Miller, 60, of Creole died, Sunday, October 17, 2004 in a
Lafayette hospital.
She was a native and lifelong resident of Cameron Parish and a graduate of
South Cameron High School. Mrs. Miller was an active supporter of the Fur
and Wildlife Festival and an advocate for abandoned pets. She worked as a
Flight Attendant for Trans Texas Airlines as a young adult and served as a
nursing assistant at South Cameron Memorial Hospital and the Cameron
Parish Health Unit for many years. Mrs. Miller also was an avid outdoors
person, and rancher.
Survivors include her husband, J. A. Miller of Creole; one daughter,
Selika Egloff and husband, Jay; two grandsons, Luke and Jack all of
Beaufort, S.C.; her mother, Mary Boudreaux LaBove of Grand Lake; four
sisters, Margaret Savoie and husband, Jerry of Cameron, Rosie Shetler, and
husband, Carl, of Lake Charles, Charlane LaSalle of Lake Charles and Emily
Gaspard of Grand Lake. She is preceded in death by her father, Charlie
LaBove.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM, Wednesday, October 20, 2004 from
the Johnson Funeral Home Chapel. Her nephew, Fr. Johnny Savoie of Mobile,
AL will officiate. Burial will be in Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 5:00 PM until 9:00 PM, Tuesday, with a rosary
being recited at 7:00 PM and from 8:00 AM until time of services,
Wednesday, in the funeral home.
Serving as pallbearers will be Charles Savoie, Troy Bailey, Jay Egloff,
John Jay LaBove, Jerome Carter, and Johnny Reina.

Wayne B. Montie
Funeral services for Wayne B. Montie, 91, of Creole, were held Saturday,
July 3, from Sacred Heart Catholic Church of Creole. The Rev. J. McGrath
officiated. Burial was in Sacred Heart Cemetery under the direction of
Hixson Funeral Home of Creole.
Mrs. Montie died Thursday, July 1, 2004 in her residence.
She was born in Chenier Perdue, and she lived most of her adult life in
Creole. She was a graduate of Grand Chenier High School. She was a charter
member of Court Mary Olive 1463 and the Creole Home Demonstration Club.
She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church of Creole, the Sacred
Heart Altar Society, the Cameron Parish Cattleman Association and the
Cameron Parish Farm Bureau.
For many years she was a lunchroom supervisor at Creole and South Cameron
high Schools. She worked at LaGrange High School after Hurricane Audrey.
For many years she managed the Creole tagging station for Miller Livestock
in DeQuincy.
Survivors include one sister, Estelle Theriot of Creole; two brothers, J.
W. "Bud" Broussard and Thomas Broussard, both of Grand Chenier; one foster
son, Robert R. "Bobby" Montie of Houston; three foster grandchildren, Todd
Montie of Sulphur and Mike and David Monti of Sweetlake; and seven foster
great-grandchildren.

Benita Corradini Morgan
Funeral services for Benita Corradini Morgan, 75, of Lake Charles were at
1 p.m. Monday, Sept. 27, from St. Margaret Catholic Church with the Rev.
Bill Miller officiating.
Burial was in Consolata Cemetery under the direction of Johnson Funeral
Home.
Mrs. Morgan died Thursday, Sept 23, in a Lake Charles hospital
A native of Rome, Italy, she moved to Lake Charles in 1946 and was a
member of St. Margaret Catholic Church.
She is survived by two sons, Charles Morgan, Jr., of Grand Lake and Alan
Morgan of Corpus Christi, TX.; two daughters, Theresa Daigle of Grand Lake
and Wanda DeMary of Lake Charles; 10 grandchildren and 17 great-
grandchildren.

Kent Allen Mudd
Baton Rouge - Kent Allen Mudd, 46, died Aug 28, 2004, in his residence.
"Uncle Kent" was a native of Cameron Parish and resident of Baton Rouge
for the past 23 yrs. He bravely fought a 19-month battle with esophageal
cancer.

She was born in Crowley. She lived in Big Lake For the past 22 years.

Joseph Herbert Patin, 59 of Hackberry, Louisiana, died Friday, December 17,
2004 at his residence. Visitation hours will be at the Hixson-Sulphur Memorial
Funeral Home, 2051 E. Napoleon Street, Sulphur, Louisiana on Saturday,
December 18, 2004 from 3:00 P.M. until 9:00 P.M. and on Sunday, December 19,
2004 from 8:00 A.M. until service time. Mr. Patin will be cremated following
the visitation.
Mr. Patin was born on April 12, 1945 to Curly and Della Patin in Maurice,
Louisiana. He moved to Hackberry from Georgia four years ago. Mr. Patin was a
veteran of the US Air Force serving in the Vietnam Era, was a membe of the
Catholic faith and was a member of AARP.
Survivors include his wife of 34 years, Mary Thompson Patin of Hackberry;
Louisiana; one son, David Patin of Oak Grove, Louisiana; one daughter, Tanya
Marie Patin of Hackberry, Louisiana; five brothers, John Early Patin of
Australia, Dondal Patin of Rayne, Louisiana, Glenn Patin of Crowley, CJ "JR"

Hayes Peter Picou Sr.
Born: August 10, 1924

Early in the morning on November 22, 2004, after months of love and
care by his family, friends, and Monsignor Louis Melancon, our Papa,
Hayes Peter Picou, Sr., 80 of Cameron, Louisiana, rested peacefully in
the hands of the God he so loved and served all the days of his life.
Mr. Picou was born on August 10, 1924 in Chauvin, Louisiana to Xavier
and Edna Picou. He moved to Cameron in 1939 where he worked on a dredge
building the ship channel. He married Velma Rogers in 1942 and this
union of 62 years was blessed with four children. Employed as a tug
boat captain for 18 years, he then became the owner and operator of
Coastal Shell Company, and later of Coastal Foods and Savers Grocery of
Cameron. He later worked for Pat's Restaurant and Kajon Foods before
his retirement. Mr. Picou was one of the most dedicated members of Our
Lady Star of the Sea Catholic Church, serving her in ways too numerous
to list. He helped to build the Church with Father Sonnier in the early
70's. He was instrumental in forming the Knights of Columbus Council
No. 5461 and was a 4th Degree Member of Monsignor Cramers Assembly No.
320. He served as Eucharist Minister with Monsignor Curtis Vidrine and
Father Al Volpe. He and his family were named Family of the Year for
two years in a row. He is a member of the Companions of Honor of the
Diocese of Lake Charles and was presented with the Papal Medal
Benemerenti (well-merited) by Bishop Jude Speyrer in 1997. Hayes was a
veteran of World War II, a member of VFW Post No. 10019 and served as
Commander of American Legion Post 176 in Creole. Known for his love and
service to his community, he was Past President of the Cameron Council
on Aging, 1992 Citizen of the Year, Member of the Cameron Optimist
Club, serving as Lt. Governor of the State of Louisiana Optimist Club
and past Civil Defense member.
Mr. Picou is survived by his wife, Velma Rogers Picou; two daughters,
Brenda, wife of John C. Conner, and Ramona (Suggie), wife of Ronnie
Dean Benoit of Cameron, Louisiana; two sons, Hayes (Pete) and his wife
Mary of Grand Chenier, Louisiana and Ronnie Dean (Deanie Bug) and his
wife Sharon of Grand Lake, Louisiana; one brother, Floyd Picou, Sr. of
Houma, Louisiana and one sister, Joyce Bonvillion of Gray, Louisiana;
ten grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren; one to be born in January;
one great-great grandchild and numerous nieces and nephews. He was
preceded in death by his mother and father, two sisters, Lois LeFort
and Marie Watkins, one brother Jean Picou, Sr. and a number of nieces
and nephews. He is preceded in death by his mother and father, two
sisters, Lois LeFort and Marie Watkins; one brother, Jean Picou, Sr.;
and a number of nieces and nephews.
His funeral will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday, November 24, in Our Lady Star
of the Sea Catholic Church. Monsignor Louis Melancon will officiate.
Burial will be in Our Lady Star of the Sea Mausoleum under the
direction of Hixson Funeral Home of Creole. Visitation is from 10 a.m.
to 10 p.m. today with a rosary at 7 p.m. Father Wayne LeBleu will offer
scripture readings.

Evelyn Ponthieux
Evelyn Marie Meche Ponthieux, 70, died Aug 12, 2004, in a Lake Charles
hospital. Evelyn was born on Nov 8, 1933, in Cameron Parish to Ella
Thibodeaux and Moise Meche. She was a liflong resident of Lake Charles.

Curtis Portie
Curtis Dalton Portie, 66, of Creole, LA died at 1:22 AM on Tuesday,
September 14, 2004 in a local care facility.
Mr. Portie was a native of Hackberry, LA before moving to Cameron in 1965
and then later moved to Creole in 1972. He was a graduate of Hackberry
High School, attended McNeese State University and Sowela Tech. Mr. Portie
was co-owner of Cameron Service Garage. He worked as an Auto Mechanic
Instructor at Cameron Vo-tech and as a Certified A & P Aircraft Mechanic &
Electrician at Boeing. He later retired from Cameron Parish Sheriff
Department as an Auto Mechanic. Mr. Portie was an Eagle Scouts, and a
member of the Woodmen of the World, Farm Bureau and the Cameron Parish
Retired Sheriff?s Association. He also was a member of Sacred Heart
Catholic Church, were he served as an usher.
Mr. Portie is survived by his wife, Lena Belle Portie; son, Damon Houston
Portie and wife Peggy, all of Creole, LA; daughter, Danine Geneva
Courville and husband Kurt of Lake Charles; brother, John Edward Portie of
Cameron, LA; and grandchildren, Dalton H. Portie, Catherine Portie,
Danielle Courville and Katelyn Courville.
He was preceded in death by his parents, John E. Portie, Sr. and Alma
Duhon Portie.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Friday, September 17, 2004 at
Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Creole, LA. Reverend Joseph McGrath will
officiate. Burial will follow in the Sacred Heart Catholic Church
Cemetery. The visitation will be on Thursday at Johnson Funeral Home from
11:00 AM to 10:00 PM with a rosary being recited at 6:00 PM. Visitation on

Herman " Budgie " Precht, Jr., 64, passed away Saturday, July 3, 2004 in a
Lake Charles hospital.
A native of Jennings, Louisiana, Herman lived most of his life in Grand
Lake, Louisiana. He was a graduate of Grand Lake High School receiving his
Bachelor of Science in Agriculture from McNeese University. He was a
member of Grand Lake Faith Temple. He was retired having worked as a field
representative for Walker Properties and was a deputy with the Cameron
Parish Sherriff's Department, where he was started and administered the
DARE program of Cameron Parish.
Survivors include his wife, Murrel D. Precht of Grand Lake; Son, Tommy
Precht and wife, Yvette of Grand Lake; Nephew, Jamie Brown of Grand Lake;
Sisters, Nancy Nunez and husband, Garner of Grand Chenier, Pat Faulk and
Debbie Howerton and husband, Pat of Grand Lake; Brother, Phil Precht and

Funeral services for Delta Bertrand Sonnier, 76, of Lake Charles, were
held Saturday, July 31, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Creole. The

Mrs. Sonnier died Thursday, July 29, 2004 in Lake Charles.
She was a native of Pecan Island and lived most of her life in the Lake
Charles area. She had worked at Rosewood nursing Home in Crowley and was
also a private-duty nurse for many years.
Survivors include three sons, Melvin Bertrand of Creole, Mike Bertrand of
Westlake, and Paul Bertrand of China, TX.; three daughters, Gail Villejion
of Estherwood, Sandy Babineaux of Westlake, and Mona Guillory of Lake
Charles; 28 grandchildren; and 32 great-grandchildren.

CREOLE, Louisiana – Ernest Thibodeaux, 70, passed away Saturday, July 3,
2004 in the Cameron Hospital.
A life resident of Creole, Ernest proudly served his country from 1954 –
1956 in the U.S. Army. He was a life member of VFW Post #10019. Ernest was
formerly employed with Baroid for 15 years, LA Menhadiam for 6 years,
Crain Brothers for 5 years and he retired from Cameron Parish Police Jury
after 12 years. He was a trapper for Miami Corporation for 35 years. He
loved hunting, cooking and having large outings.
Survivors include his wife of 46 years, Jimmie Ruth Hebert Thibodeaux of
Creole; children, Leona Duhon of Lake Charles, Lynn Thibodeaux and wife,
Renee of Iowa, and Dianne LeDoux and husband, Johnathan of Creole;
grandchildren, Johnny Miller of Creole, Danielle Thibodeaux of Sulphur,
Brett Thibodeaux of Iowa, Larry LeDoux of Creole and Ma Kayla LeDoux of
Creole; step grandchildren, Btittney Baty of Sulphur, Christine Baty of
Iowa and Lacy Baty of Iowa; sister, Hilda Bourgois and husband, Louis of
Creole.
His funeral will be 2:00 PM, Tuesday, July 6, 2004 from Sacred Heart
Catholic Church of Creole under direction of Hixson Funeral Home. Father
Joseph McGrath will officiate with burial folowing in Lady of the Marsh
Cemetrey. Visitation with be today, July 5, 2004 from 10 am – 10 pm with a
reciting of the rosary at 7:00 pm in the funeral home and from 8 am till
service time on Tuesday.

CREOLE - Murl L. Trahan, 85, died Wednesday, October 6, 2004, at his
residence.
He was born in Johnson Bayou and lived in Creole. He was a member of
Sacred Heart Catholic Church. He was a U.S. Army Veteran and a member of
the VFW and American Legion. He was also a member of the Woodmen of the
World.
Survivors include his wife, Margie Trahan of Creole; his children,
Carolyn Benoit and husband, Floyd, and Carl (Bubba) Trahan and wife,
Judy, all of Creole; one sister, Lola Domingue of Creole; five
grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
His funeral will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, October 9, in Sacred Heart
Catholic Church. Father Joseph McGrath will officiate. Burial will be in
Sacred Heart Cemetery under the direction of Hixson Funeral Home of
Creole. Visitation is Thursday from 11 a.m. - 10 p.m., Friday from 8 a.m.
- 10 p.m., and Saturday from 8 a.m until service time. A Rosary will be

Joseph Nick Tramonte Sr.
Funeral services for Joseph Nick Tramonte, Sr., 61 of Holly Beach, were
held Saturday, Aug 14, at Johnson Funeral Home. The Rev. Herbert May
officiated. Burial was in Consolata Cemetery.
Mr. Tramonte died Wednesday, Aug. 11, 2004, in his residence.
Mr. Tramonte had lived in the Lake Charles-Sulphur area before moving to
Holly Beach in 1977. He served in the Navy and later was an insulator for
many years. Mr. Tramonte was the owner of Joe Nick's Motel in Holly Beach.
He is survived by his wife, Debbie Tramonte of Holly Beach; two daughters,
Jennifer Tramonte Page of Sulphur and LaVonda Potts of Angleton, TX.;
three sons, Joseph Nick Tramonte, Jr., of Lake Charles, Jeffery Scott
Tramonte of Fort Drum, N.Y., and Johnathan Nick Tramonte of DeQuincy; two
sisters, Rosalie Bertrand of Longville and Ann Ball of Marlow, Okla.; and
16 grandchildren.

Sidney Tremie
Sidney Tremie, 96, of Lake Charles died at 7:30 AM Friday, September 03,
2004 in his residence.
Mr. Tremie was a native of Ville Platte, LA and only recently resided in
Lake Charles. He was a cotton and rice farmer in the Point Blue area for
approximately fifty years and for the past eighteen years resided in Big
Lake. He was a member of Mt. Carmel Catholic Church and Knights of
Columbus in Chataignier, LA and attended St. Mary of the Lake Catholic
Church in Big Lake. Mr. Tremie was an avid gardener, boo-ray and poker
player and loved visiting with his grandchildren and great grandchildren.
He is survived by two daughters, Neva Young Veron and husband Louis of
Lake Charles, and Helen Tremie Manuel of Big Lake; one son, James Ervin
Tremie and his wife Elsie Pierce Tremie of Houston, TX; two sisters, Eula
Henry of Austin, TX and Earline Guillory of Eunice; and one sister in law,
Mil Tremie of Ville Platte. He leaves behind eight grandchildren, Peggy
Young Cormier, Jenny Young Bertrand, Laura Young Pitre, Catherine Young
Aguillard, Mary Manuel LaCasse, Rachel Manuel Abadie, Felicia Tremie
Burgess, and Christopher James Tremie; seventeen great grandchildren, one
great-great grandchild and a number of nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Marie Soileau Tremie; his parents,
Ferdinand and Martha LaFleur Tremie; his sons-in-law, Allen Young and
Robert Manuel; three brothers, Otis, Dennis and Leonard Tremie; and one
sister Dina Ardoin.
Funeral services will be at 2:00 PM Monday, September 6, 2004 from Our
Lady Queen of Heaven Catholic Church. Reverend Charles McMillin will
officiate. Burial will be in Consolata Cemetery under the direction of
Johnson Funeral Home. Visitation will be Saturday from 2:00 PM until 8:00
PM and Sunday from 2:00 PM until 10:00 PM with a scripture service at 7:15
PM followed by a rosary. Visitation Monday will be from 8:00 AM until 1:45
PM in the funeral home.
Serving as pallbearers will be Chris Tremie, Dennis Cormier, Keith
Bertrand, Matt Pitre, Tony Aguillard, Thomas LaCasse, Andre Abadie, and
Doug Burgess.

Frances Venable
Frances Marie Venable, born September 29, 1941 died at 12:50 PM on
September 11, 2004 in a hospital in Houston, TX.
Ms. Venable was born in Cameron, LA, a resident of Lake Charles for twenty
years, she spent the last six years in Baycliff, TX. She will be greatly
missed by all who knew her. Frances loved the verse Isaiah 40:31, ?But
they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength, they shall mount
up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall
walk and not faint.?
Ms. Venable was a member of Our Lady Queen of Heaven Catholic Church in
Lake Charles.
Ms. Venable is survived by her sisters, Annette Southern, Doris Ann
Hancock, Jennifer Venable and Dolores Walton; brothers, Russell and Wesley
Venable; and numerous nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Bonnie Belle Maddox; father,
Mayles Joseph Venable; grandmother, Mary Murphy Maddox; Aunt Ankie;
brother, Johnny Venable and sister, Joyce Ellis.
Private funeral services for family members and her close friends will be
held at Johnson Funeral Home on Wednesday, September 15 at 11:00 AM.
Services conducted under the direction of Jeannie George from Lake
Charles. Burial will follow in Cameron at the First Baptist Cemetery.

John Monroe Wicke

John Monroe Wicke, 81, died Thursday, September 30, 2004, in his
residence. He was a son, brother, father, grandfather, uncle, and friend
to all who met him.
He was a native of Cats Spring, TX and had lived in Lake Charles for 47
years. He was a World War II U.S. Army Veteran where he was a P.O.W. for 7
months and 2 days in Germany and received a Purple Heart. He was a member
of the American Legion Post 0176 and VFW. He was a member of the Knights
of Columbus where he became a 4th degree Knight in 1986, member of
Councils #3014 in Creole and #0320 in Lake Charles. He was past Grand
Knight for Council 3014, past District Deputy, past Faithful Navigator,
and had been Bursor for Monsignor H. Cramer Assembly of 4th Degree
Knights. He was also a member of St. Margaret Catholic Church, the Cameron
Cattleman's Association, and the National Cattleman's Association.
Survivors include his wife of 54 years, Ina "Teen" Wicke of Lake Charles;
two sons, John Gary Wicke and wife, Cathy of Grand Lake, and Richard
Gregory Wicke and wife, Wendy of Creole; one daughter, Faye White and
husband, John of Lake Charles; one brother, Jerome Wicke and wife, Dorothy
of Cats Spring, TX; one sister, Laura Mae Gleuck of Cats Spring, TX;
brother-in-law, Sam Knippel of Fayetteville, TX; sister-in-law, Mayola
Wicke of Creole; and 10 grandchildren, Joan, Rachel, Jordan, and David
White, and Brett, Devin, Katherine, Amanda, Joshua, and Mary Wicke. He was
preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Verina Wicke; a sister,
Frances Knippel; a brother, Robert Lee Wicke; and brother-in-law, Ellis
Gleuck.
His funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday, October 4, in St. Margaret
Catholic Church. The Rev. Henry Mancuso will officiate. Burial will be in
Consolata Cemetery under the direction of Hixson Funeral Home of Lake
Charles. Visitation is from 4-9 p.m. Sunday with a rosary service at 7
p.m. and from 8 a.m. until the time of service.

Charles Reagan Williams
Graveside services for Charles Reagan Williams, 49, of Beaumont, TX were
held Friday, June 25 at Creole Memorial Cemetery in Reeves under the
direction of Hixson Funeral Home, The Rev. H. Williams officiated.
Mr. Williams died Wednesday, June 22, 2004, in Beaumont, TX.
A native of Houston, TX., he was employed by Brown and Root as an
administrative supervisor for 10 years. He also served in the Army. He was
a graduate of St. Louis High School, and also attended Lamar University.
Survivors include his mother, Emerlene Miller of Creole; his stepfather,
Everette Miller of Creole; his father, Leo Williams of Natchitoches, TX.
