This Indenture made this 30th day of August in the year of our Lord one
thousand Eight hundred and twwenty three Between ANN WICKLIFF, late Ann
LOGAN Heir of BENJAMIN LOGAN deceased of the one part and  (to)Nathaniel
WICKLIFF of the other part. Witnesseth that whereas the above name d Ann
Wickliff formerly Ann Logan as one of the Heirs of Benjamin Logan decased
owns as one of the Heirs of said Benjamin Logan
deceased five hundred Sixty two and a half acres of land in Ohio County being
one Eighth part of Four Thousand five hundred acres (this being a part of a
tract entered in the name of W. DANIEL and pattented to N. MERIWETHER and
lying on or near GREEN RIVER; also that the said Ann is entitleted to &
owns aforesaid fifty eight
and 3/8 acres of land lying in Ohio county on or near Green River being one
Eighth of a
tract of land entered and surveyed in the name of B. LOGAN and pattented to
JACOB MYERS
supposed to contain four hundred and Sixty acres be the same or less. Now this
Indenture witnesseth that the said Ann Wickliff formerly ANN LOGAN for and in
consideration of the sum of One Dollar to her in hand padid by the said
Nathl. Wickliff the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged. Do by these
presents hereby convey to the said Nathl. Wickliff & his  heirs all right
title and Interest to both of the above described tracts of land lying in
the said County of Ohio on or near Green River as before described herby
fully relinquishing selling and transferring to the said Nathaniel Wickliff

of Benjamin Logan deceased as before state. In Testimony whereof the said

7672 acres and by said Barnett conveyed to the said John HOWELL by generaal
warrantees deed bearing date the 23d Day of March 1795 and recorded in Nelson
County and by the said HOWELL to the said KINNEY and by the said Kinney
conveyed to
the said Benjamin who now reconveys to the said Kinney which said lot of land
hereby conveyed as aforesaid contains Five hundred and Twenty Eight acres

and being in the Countyof Clark in the state of Kentucky on the waters of STONERS fork of LICKING 
including the said March's present Dwelling house and bounded as follows to wit, Beginning at an 
Iron wood standing in the line of WILLIAM HALLY 's it being at or near the place where formerly 
stood the corner between the Surveys of WILLIAM STONE, Senr. and WILLIAM STONE, Junr. and runing 
with said HALLEY 's line S 68 degrees 45 min. west 85 poles to a stake at the intersection of the 
line of said HALLEY and said WHITLEDGE 's preemption thence with the line of said WHITLEDGE south 
fifty four poles to a Locust Stake thence N 89 E 114 Poles to a stake in the line between WILLIAM 
STONE, Senr. and WILLIAM STONE, Junr. thence with their line N 21 Degrees 50 min. East 89 poles to 
the Beginning together with all and Singular the Appurtenances thereunto belonging or in any wise 
appertaining unto the only proper use and behoof of him the said Jacob March his heirs and assigns 
forever to have and to hold the aforesd. land and premises together with all and singular the 
appurtenances to the same belonging or in any wise appurtaining and they the heirs and representatives 
aforsd. do by these presents covenant and agree unto the said Jacob March his heirs and assigns that 
they have good right and Lawfull authority to sell and convey the aforsd. land and premises free from 
any incumbrance and that they will warrant and forever defend this title of the aforesaid land and 
premises from the claim of them thier heirs or any person claiming by from or under them but from no 
other claim whatsoever but it is plainly understood by the parties and it is surely expressly agreed 
upon that is case the land hereby conveyed or any part thereof shall be taken by any better or prior 
claim that in such case the heirs and representatives aforsd. are to refund to the said Jacob March 
his heirs or assigns at the rate of five dollars per acres for the land so lost as a full compensation
for said land so lost. In Witness whereof this said Liney Whitledge, Thomas Whitledge, John Humphreys 
and Susana his wife, James Ford and Ruilla his wife and John Whitlege heirs and representatives of the 
said John WHITLEDGE, deceased have hereunto set their hands and seals the date above written. Signed 
sealed and acknowledged in the presents of the word they in the twelfth lines the word defend in the
thirteeth lines and the word siad in the twenty first lines of the second page interlined before signed.
