Merle I. Britton

	Merle I. Britton, 77, passed away at St. Lukes Medical Center in Sioux 
City, on February 2, 1987.
	Merle was born December 14, 1909 to L. Pete and Anna Marie Nielson 
Mortenson on a farm near Moorhead, IA.   
	On August 17, 1929, she was united in marriage to Marvin R. Britton at 
Elk Point, S.D.  Marvin died July 14, 1976 in Onawa.
        Survivors include two daughters; two sons; a sister, Mabel Nuzum of 
Omaha; 11 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
	She was preceded in death by her husband, Marvin; four sisters, Opal, 
Violet, Hannah and Hulda; three brothers, Nels, John and Stanley; her parents 
and a grandson.
