The Butler Herald, October 21, 1913 The Butler Herald Tuesday, October 21, 1913 Page One Death Came Saturday to Mrs. S.C. Scandrett News was received in Butler of the death at Cordele of Mrs. Susan C. Scandrett, formerly one of the best known and most highly esteemed women of Butler. Her death occurred Saturday morning about 9 o’clock at the home of her son, Mr. George Lee Scandrett following an extended illness. Had she lived until December, Mrs. Scandrett would have been 82 years of age. She was the widow of Mr. Robert Scandrett, who died here in 1873 or ’74, prior to which time he had been for many years a valuable citizen. She is survived by four sons and one daughter. They are: Messrs. Russ Harris, of Cordele, R.A. Scandrett, of Macon, G.L. Scandrett, of Cordele, J.H. Scandrett and Mrs. S.O. Adams, of this county. The funeral was held Sunday afternoon at 3 o’clock at the home of Mr. George Scandrett and the interment of the body made at the family lot at Cordele.

Now we need to get this family lot at Cordele?! Is this Cordele in Crisp County??? Or was there one in Taylor County?
