        Barbara Clarke Inman, 75, formerly of Athens, died Sunday, April
     2, 2000.
        A native of Troy, Tenn., Mrs. Inman was a graduate of Peabody
     College, Nashville. She taught and coached in Tubman High School
     for Girls and Richmond Academy. She was office manager of Athens
     Camp for Boys, Tallulah Falls. She opened, owned and was director
     of High-Harbour Camp for Girls, Lake Burton. She was elected to the
     First Augusta Sports Hall of Fame. She was a member of St. Simons
     Presbyterian Church and the Ladies Golf Association.
        Services will be at 10 a.m. today at St. Simons Presbyterian
     Church with the Revs. Robert Brearley and Wright Culpepper
     officiating. Burial will be at 4 p.m. in Westover Cemetery,
     Augusta.
        Survivors include her husband, Frank Inman Sr.; a daughter,
     Peggy Clarke Harris, Brentwood, Tenn.; a son, Frank Inman Jr., St.
     Simons Island; four grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
        Pallbearers will be Steve Patterson, Greg McGarity, Bill
     McDonald, Jamie Hudson, Ralph Harris, Doug Shellnut and Ken
     O'Kelley. Honorary pallbearers will be charter staff and campers of
     High-Harbours Camp for Girls, Brunswick Country Club/Ladies Golf
     Association members, M.I.C.U., S.I.C.U., and Oncology Nursing Staff
     of Southeast Georgia Regional Medical Center.
        Memorials may be made to Atlanta YMCA, High Harbour Camp, c/o
     SunTrust Bank, P.O. Box 1914, Brunswick, GA 31521.

        Miss Walker was a daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Alexander
     Walker. She was a homemaker.
        Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at New Dorsey Tabernacle
     Baptist Church with the Rev. H.L. Dotson officiating. The body will
     be placed in the church at 1 p.m. Burial will be in East Lawn
     Memorial Cemetery.

        Dallas Martin Dobbs, 91, of 1743 Adamstown Road, formerly of
     Toccoa, died Sunday, April 2, 2000.
        A native of Hart County, Mrs. Dobbs was a daughter of the late
     Frank and Ola Adams Martin and was the widow of Onnie Albert Dobbs.
     She was a former employee of Coats and Clark and Mouchet
     Manufacturing Co. and was a member of Hill Street Baptist Church of
     Toccoa.
        Services will be at 11 a.m. today at Pleasant Grove Baptist
     Church with the Revs. John Forbes and Jarrett Regan officiating.
     The body will be placed in the church at 10:30 a.m. Burial will be
     in the church cemetery.
        Survivors include a son, Edwin Dobbs, Roswell; two
     grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.

        Annette Cannon Rainwater, 65, of 155 Lakeview Estate Drive died
     Sunday, April 2, 2000.
        A native of Greene County, Mrs. Rainwater was a daughter of the
     late Harold Lamb and Evelyn Davis Cannon and was the widow of
     Robert Alexander Rainwater. She was preceded in death by a son,
     Louis Rainwater. She was involved in child care for 35 years and
     owned and operated Rainwater's Playschool Day Care, Greensboro, for
     25 years. She was a graduate of Union Point High School and was a
     member of Greensboro First Baptist Church.
        Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at McCommons Funeral Home,
     Greensboro, with the Revs. Stan Patterson and Dean Cason
     officiating. Burial will be in Greensboro City Cemetery.
        Survivors include two daughters, Kathryn Purdy, Greensboro, and
     Nancy Rainwater, Eatonton; a son, Bob Rainwater, Greensboro; three
     sisters, Ruth Matthews, Dallas, Millie Croft, Winter Haven, Fla.,
     and Mary Jordan, Sasser; two brothers, Harry Cannon, Comer, and
     James Cannon, Missouri City, Texas; six grandchildren; and a
     great-grandchild.
        In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to The Hospice of the
     Oconee, 811 N. Cobb St., Milledgeville, GA 31061 or to the American
     Cancer Society Local Chapter, 1060 Gaines School Road, Athens, GA

     Baptist faith.

        Kevin Wayne Stowe, 38, died Saturday, April 1, 2000.
        A native of Stephens County, Mr. Stowe was a son of James C.
     Stowe, Carnesville, and Diane Darnell Sumner, Toccoa. He was a
     member of Toms Creek Baptist Church.
        Services will be at 4 p.m. today at Acree-Davis Funeral Home,
     Toccoa, with the Revs. Harris Pressley and Geter Owens officiating.
     Burial will be in Toccoa City Cemetery.
        Survivors, in addition to his parents, include a son, Wesley
     Stowe, Toccoa; two sisters, Holly Ansley and Melody Stowe, both of
     Toccoa; a brother, Bernard Stowe, Martin; his stepmother, Mary
     Stowe, Carnesville; two stepsisters, Jean Ledford and Tammy
     Sellers, both of Carnesville; a stepbrother, Michael Sumner,
     Toccoa; nieces and nephews.
        Pallbearers will be Doyle Wakefield, Phillip Lowery, Buren
     Stowe, Michael Sumner, Michael Thomason and David Lowery.
        The family is at the residence of Diane Sumner, 562 S. Pond St.,
     and will receive friends from 2-4 p.m. today at the funeral home.

        Ina Mae Stalnaker Burdette, 99, of 1342 Double Bridges Road died

        A native of Elbert County, Mrs. Burdette was a daughter of the
     late Jesse Clay Stalnaker and Lilla Frances Conwell and was the
     widow of William Henry Burdette. She was a homemaker and was a
     member of Harmony Baptist Church.
        Services will be at 11 a.m. today at Harmony Baptist Church with
     the Rev. Don Mulkey officiating. The body will be placed in the
     church at 10:30 a.m. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
        Survivors include three sons, Thomas Burdette and Jesse
     Burdette, both of Elberton, and Joe Burdette, Conyers; two sisters,
     Jacqueline S. Fleming, Detroit, Mich., and Myrtice F. Almond,
     Elbert; nine grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; and five
     great-great-grandchildren.
        Pallbearers will be grandsons, Lanier Burdette, Ralph Burdette,
     Donald Burdette, Roger Burdette, Earl Burdette and Henry Burdette.

        Charles Swift Ward, 59, of 619 Turner Road died Saturday, April

     and Jennelle ''Jenny'' Haley Ward. He was retired from
     Owens-Corning Fiberglass with 32 years of service and was a U.S.
     Marine veteran having served in the Korean Conflict. He was a
     member of the Rock Branch Baptist Church.

     Hartwell, with the Rev. Ed Sayer officiating. Burial will be in
     Rock Branch Baptist Church cemetery.
        Survivors include his wife, Margie Ann Seawright Ward; a

     Hartwell, with the Revs. Randy Smith and Mike Bearden officiating.
     Burial will be in Nancy Hart Memorial Park.
        Survivors include six daughters, Kathleen Cantrell, Inez Holland
     and Betty Jo Carruth, all of Hartwell, Evelyn Gaines, Annie Ruth
     Burrell and Faye Turner, all of Elberton; six sons, John Lawrence,
     Madison County, Billy Lawrence, Lavonia, George Lawrence, Charles
     Lawrence, Eugene Lawrence and Jimmy Lawrence, all of Hartwell; two

     grandchildren; four step-grandchildren; 43 great-grandchildren;

                       Lottie Palmer Johnson Anderson
                              Shreveport, La. 
                                      
        Lottie Palmer Johnson Anderson was born October 8, 1908 in Old
     Town, Fernandina, Florida. She lived a full life until her death at
     age 91 on April 1, 2000. She died in Shreveport, Louisiana. She
     moved with her family to Darien, Georgia at a young age. Mrs.
     Anderson started her married life in Brunswick, Georgia. After
     living in several other cities she returned to Brunswick and St.
     Simons Island, Georgia. Just prior to her 90th birthday she moved
     to Shreveport, Louisiana to be close to her daughter. She was
     predeceased by her husband of 61 years, William Wyatt Anderson. She
     was also predeceased by her parents, one brother, two sisters and
     one son, William Wyatt Anderson, Jr.
        Mrs. Anderson is survived by her three children and their
     families: her daughter, Gail Anderson Nelson and her husband,
     Sydney of Shreveport, Louisiana; twin sons, Wyatt Wheaton Anderson
     and his wife, Margaret of Athens, Georgia and John Palmer Anderson
     and his wife, Cissie of Winston-Salem, North Carolina. She is also
     survived by ten grandchildren: Denise Nelson Akers and her husband,
     James; Stephen Nelson and his wife, Elsa; James Anderson, Elizabeth
     Anderson Ledet and her husband, Winston; Karen Anderson, Deborah
     Anderson, Michael Anderson, William Anderson, Scott Anderson and
     Mary Anderson. Mrs. Anderson was predeceased by one great grandson,
     Jay Akers. She is survived by six great grandchildren: Heather
     Akers, Christopher Akers, twins Anna and Alex Nelson, Austin Ledet
     and Madeline Ledet, as well as by a large number of nieces and
     nephews.
        A graveside memorial service will be held at St. Andrew's
     Cemetery in Darien, Georgia, on Saturday, April 15, 2000 at 3:00
     pm.
        The family wishes to extend their deepest appreciation to Brenda
     Ellis and Beverly Ellis for their loving care of our mother and
     grandmother. Thanks, also, to Latasha Ellis and Latisha Mims, as
     well as the staff at Azalea Estates, for their help. We will
     forever be grateful to all of you.
        The family suggests that memorials be sent to the charity of the
     donor's choice.
