      Flora M. "Dot" Dixon, 69, of 361 Helican Springs Road died Monday,
                              April 26, 1999.
       A native of Oconee County, Mrs. Dixon was a daughter of the late
   Dewey and Lessie Moon Warren. She was a homemaker and was a member of
                          Victory Baptist Church.
      Services will be at 11 a.m. today at Lord & Stephens Funeral Home,
     East, with the Revs. Elmer Butler and Buford Lockman officiating.
                 Burial will be in Evergreen Memorial Park.
         Survivors include her husband, Charles E. Dixon; a son, Larry
     Dixon, Athens; a sister, Belle Cheatam, Bogart; two grandchildren;
                            nieces and nephews.
                             Lewis James Gibson
                                Turnerville
             Lewis James Gibson, 74, died Sunday, April 25, 1999.
        A native of Habersham County, Mr. Gibson was a son of the late
     Alonzo and Mary Ann Burch Gibson. He was retired after 30 years of
   service with Nabisco in Atlanta and was a member of Mount Zion Baptist
                                  Church.
          Services will be at 2 p.m. today at Whitfield Funeral Home,
     Cornelia, with the Revs. Wilmer Ivester and E.C. Hart officiating.
           Burial will be in Mount Zion Baptist Church cemetery.
      Survivors include a sister, Lille Mae Tillie, Winder; two brothers,
      George Gibson and Virgil Gibson, both of Turnerville; nieces and
                                  nephews.

      John Kenneth Good Sr., 79, of 575 Pritchett Road died Monday, April
                                 26, 1999.
      A native of San Diego, Calif., Mr. Good was a son of the late John
       Israel and Ella Dice Peasgood. He was a retired Navy veteran.
      Services will be at 3 p.m. Thursday at Evans Funeral Home with the
   Rev. Jerry Payne officiating. Burial will be in Jackson Memorial Park.
      Survivors include his wife, Helen Bolk Good; a daughter, Lori Good
                   Braselton, Hoschton; and a grandchild.
         The family will receive friends from 2-3 p.m. Thursday at the
                               funeral home.
                              Doris L. Harris

        Doris L. "Dot" Harris, 82, of Park St. died Tuesday, April 27,
                                   1999.
      A native of Jackson County, Mrs. Harris was a daughter of the late
   William Thomas Langford and Mae Jackson Langford and was the widow of
   Claiborn Harris. She was retired from Jefferson Elementary School, was
    a member of Eastern Star and was a member of Holly Springs Methodist
                                  Church.
       Services will be at 4 p.m. Thursday at Jackson Funeral Home with
   the Revs. Randy Wallworth and Leroy Gooch officiating. Burial will be
                         in Jackson Memorial Park.
      Survivors include three daughters, Shirley J. McNeal and Sandra H.
   Pruitt, both of Jefferson, and Charlotte H. Gooch, Pendergrass; three
    sons, Hoyt Harris and C. Thomas Harris, both of Jefferson, and Jimmy
       D. Harris, Chestnut Mountain; a brother, O.N. "Buck" Langford,
    Pendergrass; five grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; nieces and
                                  nephews.
              Pallbearers will be members of Unity Lodge No. 36.
      The family will receive friends from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. today at
                             the funeral home.
                              Harrison A. Head
                                Watkinsville
      Harrison Allen Head, 82, of 2891 Monroe Highway died Monday, April
                                 26, 1999.
      A native of Oconee County, Mr. Head was a son of the late Paul and
      Ora Head. He was a retired truck driver and was a member of New
                          Covenant Worship Center.
      Services will be at 11 a.m. today at Ray's United Methodist Church
   with the Rev. Howard Conine officiating. Burial will be in the church
                                 cemetery.
        Survivors include his wife, Gladys Meeler Head; four daughters,
    Betty Williams and Faye Davidson, both of Watkinsville, Mary Savage,
    Athens, and Lillie Davidson, Bishop; a son, Jim Head, Athens; three
   stepsons, Lee Burrell, Watkinsville, Bill Burrell, Atlanta, and Milton
    Head, Danielsville; 18 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; three
               great-great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.

      Robert Gordon Ille, 53, of 1320 Broadlands Drive died Sunday, April
                                 25, 1999.
        A native of Schenectady, N.Y., Mr. Ille was a son of George and
                         Helen Ille of Cincinnati.
                     Memorial services will be held later.
        Survivors, in addition to his parents, include his wife, Judith
     Smith-Ille; two daughters, Daryl Sepega, Killingworth, Conn., and
   Melinda Ille, Chicago; a son, Robert Gordon Ille II, Columbus, Ohio; a
         brother, Richard Ille, Cincinnati; and two grandchildren.

            Lester Winfield Nash, 86, died Friday, April 23, 1999.
       A native of Kent, Ohio, Mr. Nash was a self employed businessman.
     He was an alumnus of Kent State University and was a World War II
                                  veteran.

        Survivors include his wife, Yvonne Nash, Cocoa Beach, Fla.; two
     sons, Edward T. Nash, Watkinsville, and David L. Nash, Oak Island,
                       N.C.; and five grandchildren.

       Robert Leroy "Bob" Stratton, 74, formerly of Elbert County, died

      A native of Elbert County, Mr. Stratton was a son of the late Frank
    J. Sr. and Ethel Holmes Stratton. He was retired from Eastman Kodak
     Company, was a U.S. Navy veteran and was a member of First Baptist
                             Church, Doraville.
        Memorial services will be at 2 p.m. today at New Bethel United
    Methodist Church, Elberton, with the Rev. Edward Sayer officiating.
          Survivors include his wife, Mary Stratton, Norcross; three
     daughters, Susan J. Richardson, Marietta, Gwendolyn Aikens, Forest
      Park, and Jerri-Lee Coleman, Duluth; a son, Robert K. Stratton,
    Norcross; two brothers, William "Billy" Stratton and Frank Stratton
            Jr., both of Elberton; four grandchildren; and three
                            great-grandchildren.

        Mabel Alice Sanders Thomason, 86, formerly of 111 Seaboard St.,
                       died Tuesday, April 27, 1999.
      A native of Elbert County, Mrs. Thomason was a daughter of the late
   Clarence Eugene and Mary Elizabeth McMullan Sanders and was the widow
     of Robert Elmer Thomason. She was preceded in death by a daughter,
     Gail Thomason Rucker. She was retired from Elberton Manufacturing
         Company and was a member of Elberton First Baptist Church.
        Services will be at 11 a.m. today at Rock Branch Baptist Church
              cemetery with the Rev. Edward Sayer officiating.
      Survivors include two sons, Robert C. Thomas, Elberton, and Howard
       Thomason, Clayton; a brother, Harold Sanders, Elberton; seven
               grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
      The family is at the residence of Mr. and Mrs. Robert C. Thomason,
                       1596 Athens Highway, Elberton.

           Mazell Gearing Vandiver, 81, died Monday, April 26, 1999.
        A native of Madison County, Mrs. Vandiver was a daughter of the
    late John and Maude Strickland Woods. She was preceded in death by a
    daughter, Geneva Gearing. She was a homemaker and was of the Baptist
                                   faith.
       Services will be at 2 p.m. today at Evergreen Memorial Park with
                     the Rev. Steve Wilson officiating.
      Survivors include her husband, William Vandiver; a daughter, Rachel
   Powell, Statham; two sons, Will D. Herring, Winder, and Paul Herring,

             Maysville; grandchildren; and great-grandchildren.

      William Stewart Weber, 77, of 160 North Homewood Drive died Sunday,
                              April 25, 1999.
       A native of Grove City, Pa., Mr. Weber was a son of the late John
   Fredrick and Margaret Stewart Weber and was the widower of Anne Celia
   Lengle Weber. He was preceded in death by a son, Michael Weber. He was
    retired from Westinghouse after 44 years of employment in the Athens
    plant and Sharon, Pa. plant. He served two years in the U.S. Army as
     Staff Sergeant and worked on Manhattan Bomb project in Los Alamos.
      Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Stephen J. Sherman Funeral
        Home, Sharon, Pa. Burial will be in Hillcrest Memorial Park,
                               Hermitage, Pa.
       Survivors include three sons, John Charles Weber, William Stewart
     Weber II, and Robert Jeffrey Weber, all of Athens; a sister, Rose
   Marie Dupont, Redding, Calif.; a brother, Richard Weber, Pennsylvania;
                            and a granddaughter.
         The family will receive friends from 7-9 p.m. today at Lord &
    Stephens Funeral Home, East, and from 7-9 p.m. Friday at Stephen J.
                           Sherman Funeral Home.
