Dennis Rutherford
	Dennis Rutherford, 60, of Rt. 1, Lenox, died Sunday at Berrien County 
Hospital of an apparent heart attack.
	A native of Berrien County, he was manager of the state farmer’s market 
in Nashville, a veteran of World War II and a member of Pine Grove Missionary 
Baptist Church.	Survivors include his wife, the former Evelyn Moore; four 
daughters, Mrs. Karen Shown of Valdosta, Mrs. Sue Williams of Albany, and Miss 
Ginger Rutherford and Miss Becky Rutherford of Lenox; two sisters, Mrs. Charles 
Jones of Edgeville, S.C., and Mrs. Ora Wilson of Jacksonville, Fla.; a brother, 
Judge Rutherford of Athens, and one grandchild.
	Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Pine Grove Missionary 
Baptist Church.
	The Rev. Felton Gaskins, pastor, conducted the rites with burial in the 
church cemetery.
	Hughes-Polk Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
	Roy Davis, Bayne Griffin, Martin Kent and Carlton Griner with Mrs. Carl 
Wilkerson as pianist sang “How Great Thou Art” and “Just A Closer Walk With 
Thee.”
	Active pallbearers were:  P.H. Danforth, Tally Hancock, George Skinner, 
A.T. Bragdon, Happ Griner, Carl Pafford, Dub Danforth, and Tommy Barber.
	Honorary escorts were:  H.W. Lott, Kyle Zipper, Burns Sirmans, Roger 
Webb, Hubert Moore, Julian Paulk, Willard Hendley, D.M. McClellan, Virgil 
Barber, Earnest Sumner, Harold Moore, Jack Dix and Henry Swindle.
	Buck Cato, Otis Lindsey, Willard Green, Johnny Webb Avery, S.T. Bragdon, 
L.A. Corbitt, H.D. Hand, W.R. Roberts, P.A. Harris Sr., and E.L. Giddens.
