Born August 4, 1919 in Berrien County to the late Bryant and Mary Patten Avera, she was a homemaker and member of Nashville First Baptist Church. She was a charter member of Nashville VFW Auxiliary and served as treasurer for over 20 years and as president for several years. She was married to the late W.R. Roberts. Survivors include two sons, Lamar Roberts and Allan Roberts, both of Nashville; two grandchildren, three great-grandchildren. Funeral services were held February 12 in the chapel of Lovein Funeral Home with Rev. Billy Southerland and Jackson Moore officiating. Interment was in Westview Cemetery. Pallbearers were Bruce Roberts, Chris Cooper, Kyle Kimbrell, Brian Lanier, Clarence Harper, Todd Lanier. Lovein Funeral Home was in charge of arrangement.
