The Woodland Daily Democrat
Tafoya, Louise Mary

Our dear Mother, Louise Mary Tafoya, died with all the grace with which she
lived on Jan. 20, 2006 at the Sacred Heart Home for the Elderly. She was 86
years old.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 41 years, Robert Soto Tafoya and
her mother Juana Hernandez and father Macedonio Gonzales. She is survived by
her son Robert R. Tafoya and his wife Gloria, son Ronald J. Tafoya and Linda
Ganzer and her daughter Gloria Tafoya and Larry Love. She is also survived by
her grandchildren: Ron Tafoya Jr., Carl Tafoya and his wife Lisa, Michael
Tafoya and his wife Andrea, Angela Banks, Vincent Tafoya and his wife Rachel,
Cindy Tafoya, Eric Ennis and his wife Aaiko and Manuel Souza and his wife
Robin. She was also survived by her 14 great-grandchildren: Megan and Roxanne
Tafoya of Illinois, Joshua, Justus, Petra and Faith Tafoya of Sacramento,
Clayton and Erika Banks of Oakdale, Alexandra Tafoya of Kentucky, Olivia Ennis
of Idaho, Devinn and Aaron Tafoya of Lincoln and Shane and Haley Souza of
Woodland.

Surrounded and embraced with love, Louise was prepared for death with prayers,
anointings and the presence of her sons Bob and Ron, her daughter Gloria,
grandchildren, great-grandchildren and her many nieces.

Her greatest gift was her humility and her quiet, unassuming way in which she
cared for us all. We rejoice for her and we grieve for her.

A rosary will take place on Thursday, Jan. 26 at 7 p.m. at McNary's Chapel and
the funeral Mass will be on Friday, Jan. 27 at 11 a.m. at Holy Rosary Church
in Woodland.
