The old Potter's Field at Quincy contains very few permanent markers. The majority of the graves
are marked only by simple white cross. In 2001, the Plumas County Museum (in conjunction with other
supporters) erected a monument at the Potter's Field that is inscribed with the names of those buried
within the cemetery. Because the records of tho were sparse, there can be no guarantee that the names
of the deceased are correctly spelled. Others, not on the mon may be buried here. Of them, if there
are any, there are no known written records. The monument represents burials from 1903 to 1971. It
contains no information, other than names. Death records may, however, be available from the
Plumas County Clerk's office in Quincy.

At the far west end of Quincy, take Beskeen Lane toward Gansner Park (just west of the small airport).
Take an imme left, instead of going into the park area. The street is marked with a sign that reads
"Not a Through Street." Follow main road 9/10 of a mile to the cemetery on the left. This large,
unkempt burial ground is enclosed by a metal fence
