1840 CENSUS OF PENSIONERS contributed by Jerry Dittman

To find possible War of 1812 pensioners in the following files, subtract soldier's given age in the document minus 28 (1840 minus 1812 = 28 years). (Ex: Age 49-28 yrs=21, a likely War of 1812 pensioner). Soldiers should be at least 17 years old to be involved in the War of 1812. Counties with ? behind name probably have no possible War of 1812 pensioners. Note two files contributed by other than Jerry Dittman.
