Photos contributed by Jacque Boyd DIRECTIONS TO CEMETERY: From Greensburg, take Rt 30 East until you reach Laughlintown. Turn left at the Compass Inn onto Glenn Hall Avenue/LR64060. Continue down road until you reach a Y, where you should bear left onto Horner Hill Road/Mill Street. The Horner Cemetery is located past the Laurel Hill Cemetery. Transcribed from Westmoreland County Historical Society Cemetery Guide: In the early 1840's Solomon and Fanny (Blough) Horner came to Ligonier Township from Somerset County. They obtained 200 acres on land in what was later known as Tomahawk Hill in Laughlintown. Their son Michael died in 1851 and may have been the first burial in the family cemetery. |
